American Made Grills Atlas includes the 36 inch grill built in or on a rolling cart, plus the matching double side burner. It is the maker’s simplest line for your first outdoor kitchen. The Atlas 36 is built in the USA from heavy stainless steel. The maker is a family owned company on Long Island, New York. It shares its roots with Summerset, whose grills have their own page here.

What the American Made Grills Atlas includes

The AMG Atlas has three stainless steel U shaped burners and about 850 square inches of cooking space. Briquettes spread heat and turn drippings into smoke beneath square bar grates that hold heat for searing. In the Atlas series, the square bar grates give you a cooking surface that holds heat for sear marks. The double walled hood holds heat, with lights inside and over each knob. Two warming racks come with it and stow inside the grill, the drip tray lifts out and goes in the dishwasher, and a vinyl cover for the grill head is in the box. The rotisserie kit, the infrared sear burner, the griddle plate and the smoker tray are each an option on the page. Explore our gas grills to compare other options.

Built in or on a cart

For a built-in gas grill, plan an island cutout and an outlet for the lights. You can add a matching cart on the page or choose the same head as a freestanding grill on locking wheels. A fitted cover for the whole cart is an option on the page. The matching double side burner has two open gas burners for cooking beside the grill and appears among our AMG side burners. Send us your island drawing and we will check the cutout.

The Atlas beside the Estate and Alturi

The Atlas comes only in 36 inches, with extras as options. The Estate line comes in 30, 36 and 42 inches with cast brass burners, an infrared back burner and the cooking accessories included. The Alturi line is the maker's top gas line, with lights angled across the grates and a hood on springs. The maker's hybrids, the Muscle and the Encore, burn charcoal and wood as well as gas.

Why buy from My Cozy Outdoors

We are an authorized dealer for American Made Grills, with the full manufacturer warranty. The maker's Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty covers the grill's steel body, burners and grates for life, and electrical parts for three years. Choose natural gas or propane on the page so your grill comes built for that gas. Call us and we will talk it through.

Your Atlas questions

Should I add the sear burner to the Atlas?

The optional infrared sear burner drops in where a grate goes and uses direct radiant heat for a hotter spot and a dark crust on steak. The standard square bar grates and briquettes already sear well. Add it if you cook steak often.

What comes in the box with the Atlas?

The box includes two warming racks that stow inside, a dishwasher-safe removable drip tray, briquettes and a vinyl cover for the grill head. A rotisserie kit, infrared sear burner, griddle plate and smoker tray are each an option on the page. You can also add a matching cart.

How is the Atlas different from the Estate?

The Atlas comes in 36 inches with three stainless steel burners and optional extras. The Estate offers 30, 36 and 42 inches, cast brass burners, heat-zone dividers, an infrared back burner and included rotisserie, infrared sear burner, griddle and smoker tray. That makes the American Made Grills Atlas the simpler grill to start with.
