The Outdoor Plus makes handmade fire, water and planter pieces in Ontario, California, all made in the USA. This collection brings together everything we carry from the maker for outdoor living, from gas bowls and tables to fountains, torches and fireplace shells. Start with the job you want each piece to do: a pit to sit around, a bowl to look at, a table to eat at, or water for a pool wall. Most pieces are made to order, with choices of size, material, fuel and ignition. The same bowl shapes carry across several lines.

What The Outdoor Plus makes

Browse The Outdoor Plus fire pits for gas pieces in round, square, rectangle, linear and L-shaped forms. Choose fire tables with a surrounding tabletop for drinks and plates, or round and square fire bowls for a pedestal or patio. For a pool edge, fire and water bowls combine flame with a spill from the rim.

Look at pillars and column flame tops for height, or steel fire sculptures for a focal point. Choose gas torch heads for a post, or complete fire towers for a column and torch together.

The pieces behind the scenes

Building your own feature? Start with pans and burner kits or ready-to-finish shells you cover in stone, tile or stucco. Hide propane in tables with tank doors or a separate tank enclosure.

Compare outdoor fireplace shells and finished pieces, including the Williams fireplace line with an optional scupper. For sculpted faces, see the Designer Series; for two-tone powder coat, see the Black and White Collection.

Gas pieces arrive for natural gas or propane, with a burner, pan, hose, fittings and lava rock. Match lit with a key valve is standard; most offer push button electronic ignition. Fire glass, a cover and a wind guard are options.

The water side

Choose water bowls for a pool wall or wall scuppers for a sheet or stream. Away from a pool, water-only fountains and fountains combining flame and water are self-contained, with their own basins. Choose the Angel Fall rain fountain for a steel ring with a curtain of rain falling through its center. Explore the Paradise Fall rain fountain for a square steel frame with built-in LEDs glowing through the rain after dark.

Add planter bowls and Corten planters, or choose planting bowls with a water spill. To browse by purpose across the store, visit outdoor water features and outdoor planters.

One shape, many jobs

Matching molds let you repeat a shape in fire, water and planting pieces throughout your outdoor space. For round bowls, compare the deep cone of the Cazo series, the half-sphere of the Sedona series, the updated burner in the Sedona 2 series, and the deep curve in glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) of the Luna series.

For square bowls, the Maya series has straight sides; the Avalon series has a rounded belly. Compare the pedestal urn of the Roma series with the hammered copper round of the Remi series.

For pits, browse round Tempe series pieces, square and linear Cabo series pieces, and round or rectangular Caribbean series pieces. Compare the ledge tables in the Fremont series with floating-ledge tables in the Imperial series. For scenes cut into steel bowls, see the Light House series.

Materials and finishes

Glass-fiber concrete looks like stone at a fraction of the weight. Browse concrete fire pits for colored or wood-grain finishes. Hand-hammered copper develops a blue-green patina over time; compare copper fire pits if you like a changing surface.

Among metal fire pits, brushed stainless steel stays bright with an occasional wipe, Corten steel forms its own rust-colored skin, and powder-coated steel has a baked-on finish. Slight color and texture differences reflect the craftsmanship of a one-of-a-kind handmade piece. Prefer wood? Browse smokeless wood-burning pits.

FAQ

Where are The Outdoor Plus fire features made?

Every piece is handmade at the maker's Southern California facility. Concrete is cast, copper is hand hammered, and steel is cut and finished there. Most pieces are made to order rather than supplied as a boxed fire pit.

What does The Outdoor Plus make?

It makes gas pits and tables, bowls with fire or water, combined features, fountains, pillars, sculptures, smokeless wood pits, torches, towers, burner kits, tank enclosures, unfinished shells, fireplaces and planters. One bowl shape often serves several jobs, helping you coordinate pieces around a pool or patio.

What materials are The Outdoor Plus pieces made from?

Choose glass-fiber concrete in 18 colors or wood grain, hand-hammered copper, brushed stainless steel, Corten weathering steel or powder-coated steel in 15 colors. Copper develops a patina and Corten forms a rust finish outdoors; stainless and powder coat hold their look.

How do I choose the right fire feature for my space?

Use a table for drinks and plates, a pit for seating, or a bowl, pillar or sculpture as a focal point. For four chairs, consider 30 to 42 inches; for a circle, 48 to 60; along a wall, 72 to 96. For a pool wall, consider a bowl combining flame and water.

Should I order natural gas or propane?

Choose your fuel before ordering; The Outdoor Plus builds each gas piece for one fuel. Natural gas needs a line run by a licensed gas fitter. Propane uses a tank behind a door or in an enclosure, which you swap when low. Your piece arrives set up accordingly.
