Orion Multi, Orion V2 Multi and Landscape Pro Multi are three sided units, 44 to 120 inches wide, for a flat wall, corner or bay. Our three sided fireplaces page includes other brands and fuels.
Spectrum Slimline is 4 inches deep and 50 to 100 inches wide. Hang it or recess it into a 2 by 4 wall.
The fire and the controls
You can choose between two kinds of flame technology: a screen or lit logs. Orion and Orion V2 show video of real flames on a screen for a realistic flame effect above lit driftwood logs and crushed glass or crystal glass. V2 adds crackling sounds and Bluetooth music. The other series let you choose color options for the flame, ember bed and downlight.
Every unit includes a remote. Orion, Orion V2 and Landscape Pro also use an app. Landscape Pro adds voice control.
TruWood real wood logs replace standard logs on every series except Spectrum Slimline. The Orion V2 and Landscape Pro units are also rated for a covered patio, out of rain and direct sun, and you will find them on our covered patio electric fireplaces page. Outdoors, the V2 insert must be built in.

Which Modern Flames electric fireplace can go into my existing fireplace?
Orion Traditional, Orion V2 Traditional and RedStone are inserts, with widths from 26 to 54 inches. They slide into your existing opening. A surround covers gaps on some sizes. Measure the opening's width, height and depth, then call us with those numbers.
Can I plug a Modern Flames electric fireplace into any outlet?
Use a standard wall outlet on its own circuit. For more heat output, an electrician can hardwire the three sided units and the 36, 42 and 54 inch inserts. If you are unsure what your wall has, call us and we will talk it through.
Can a Modern Flames electric fireplace run without heat?
Yes, every unit runs the flames with or without heat, so you can enjoy the ambiance in summer with the heater off. Plugged in, it heats up to about 400 square feet. Hardwired three sided units heat up to about 800 square feet.
Do Modern Flames electric fireplaces need venting?
No. These electric fireplaces need no vent, no chimney and no gas line. An insert can go into a closed-up wood fireplace, and a slim unit can fit an ordinary wall. Orion V2 and Landscape Pro also suit a covered patio, out of rain and direct sun.
