American Made Grills Encore includes 36 and 54 inch hybrid grills, built in or on a rolling cart, plus the matching double side burner and power burner. You get gas cooking and trays for charcoal or wood beneath a hood with a traditional look. These heavy stainless steel grills are built in the USA by a family owned company on Long Island, New York. The maker shares its roots with Summerset, whose grills have their own page on our store.

What is the Encore hybrid grill?

The Encore is a gas grill that also cooks over real charcoal or wood. Its multi-fuel tray system holds solid fuel in stainless steel fuel trays beneath the grates. Hood vents let you feed the fire or choke it down. In the Encore series you can cook over gas, solid fuel or both at once, the way other hybrid grills work, for every kind of outdoor cooking.

What comes with the Encore?

The Encore 36 has five stainless steel burners and about eleven hundred square inches of cooking space. The Encore 54 has eight burners and about seventeen hundred square inches. The grates flip over for a fresh cooking surface, and lifting tools come in the box.

The infrared rotisserie back burner runs the rotisserie kit in the box. You also get an infrared sear burner, a stainless steel griddle plate, leather gloves, a care kit and a vinyl grill-head cover. Browse built-in grills for the version that slides into an outdoor kitchen island cutout. Browse grills on carts for the freestanding Encore on its fully assembled rolling cart, which has a drawer divided for charcoal and wood and a cover for the whole cart.

The Encore beside the Muscle

The Muscle shares the same cooking equipment but has a Mustang-styled hood. Compare both lines on our AMG hybrid grills page if you are choosing by shape. Find the matching double side burner and power burner among our American Made Grills side and power burners.

Your questions answered

What is the difference between the Muscle and the Encore?

Both sizes share the same burners, trays, grates, back burner, rotisserie and box contents. The Encore has a plainer, more traditional hood, while the Muscle has a bold hood styled after a Mustang muscle car. Choose the look you want in either 36 or 54 inches.

Can you use charcoal in the Encore?

Yes, stainless steel trays beneath the grates hold lump charcoal or wood chunks, and the gas burners light them. Hood vents feed the fire or choke it down, so you can cook over gas, coals or both at once. A starter kit of wood and charcoal comes in the box.

Do I need an insulated liner for a built-in Encore?

An island framed in wood or anything else that can burn needs an insulated liner around the grill cutout. Block, metal studs and cement board do not. The power and side burner pages offer liners for their cutouts. Send us your island drawing and we will check the cutout for your American Made Grills Encore.
