Five versions of one fireplace

Traditional widths are 30, 36, 42 and 46 inches, with an included oak log set. The Napoleon Ascent 36 is about 16 inches deep. The Napoleon Ascent 42 adds two layers of flame. The traditional Ascent's shallow depth suits a corner or tight room, and the 30 is the smallest of the Ascent series.

The Ascent X stretches the firebox across the front in 36 and 42 inches. Napoleon Ascent Linear offers a linear gas fireplace with topaz crushed glass in 36, 42, 46 and 56 inches. The Ascent Linear Premium offers birch, driftwood or split oak logs in 42, 46 and 56 inches.

The Ascent Multi-View offers see-through and three-sided peninsula shapes. Each shape has a viewing area about 36 by 29 inches and comes with either hand-painted logs or a topaz glass bed, with a mineral rock kit as an add-on.

Venting, fuel and included features

Each direct vent gas fireplace needs a framed wall but no chimney. A sealed pipe through the wall or roof brings fresh air in and carries the exhaust out. Some versions suit an interior wall if venting reaches outdoors. Each product page gives the framing size to check before installation.

Choose natural gas or propane, except the Ascent Linear Premium comes ready for natural gas. Tell us before ordering it for propane. The Ascent Linear Premium and the Ascent X both include a remote and a blower. Battery backup comes with selected versions.
