Our inground hot tub collection holds standalone shells from MCO Pools, our own line, for use alone or beside a pool. An inground fiberglass spa is a fiberglass hot tub basin that your builder sets into the ground. You plan this in-ground hot tub around the seating you want and the room for a backyard hot tub, with equipment and a patio to suit.
Choose your inground hot tub shell
The 7 by 7 foot shell is 3 feet deep, with one molded bench and three built-in steps. The larger shell measures 8 feet 8 inches by 9 feet 4 inches, with seating around the sides and a depth of 3 feet 6 inches. Each arrives in one piece with Caribbean Blue, Cancun White or Eclipse Gray already molded in.
On its own or with a pool
Either shell can run alone or share equipment with a swimming pool. Decide before your builder sizes the heater. A spa shell can also ride along with any pool in our line, in the same load. What your builder adds
Your builder handles the excavation, digging the hole and setting the in-ground spa shell with a crane. Plan clear access for the crane to swing. The builder adds the pump, filter, heater, jets, controls, coping and decking, setting the rim level with the patio.

What is a fiberglass spa?
It is a hot tub basin molded in one piece, with its bench, steps and color already in place. A pool builder sets it into the ground. Unlike a portable tub in a cabinet, it needs the builder to add its pump, filter, heater, jets and controls.
Can you put a hot tub in the ground?
Yes, when you choose a shell made for that purpose. These inground hot tubs are set by your pool builder so the rim sits level with the patio. A portable hot tub in a cabinet is a different product.
Can an inground spa be installed without a pool?
Yes, either shell can run alone or share equipment with a pool. One owner with only a 9 foot inground spa says it fits a yard a pool would have taken over and gets used all year. A spa shell can also ride along with any pool in our line, in the same load. Decide how your inground hot tub will run before your builder sizes the heater.
Is an inground hot tub as good as a portable hot tub?
Owners say portable tubs offer more jets, shaped seats and earlier use. Others favor patio-level benches, shared pool equipment and thick insulated covers for holding heat.
