Napoleon Altitude X: a tall view of the fire
The Altitude X series gas fireplaces keep the view simple with a clean face. The 36 has glass about 35 by 33 inches and warms a living room. The 42 gives you a wider fire behind glass 42 inches wide and 36 inches tall, with warmth for a family room. Both are built into a framed wall indoors. These are glass measurements, so check the wall requirements with your installer.
For other looks, consider Ascent for shallower traditional units, Elevation for flames around your chosen logs, or Vector for a wide, low flame.
Venting, fuel and what comes with it
Direct vent means no chimney. A sealed pipe runs through the wall or roof, carrying exhaust out and bringing fresh air in. Order for natural gas or propane. Your fireplace arrives set up for that fuel. You can compare direct vent gas fireplace options across brands.
Both include a remote control and a blower to move warm air into the room. The 42 adds an included night light. Your customization choices include three log set styles: birch, driftwood or split oak, plus back panel options: decorative brick panels, reflective porcelain or black glass. You can add a decorative front and trim.
Why buy from My Cozy Outdoors

FAQ
What is the difference between the Altitude X 36 and the Altitude X 42?
The 36 has glass about 35 by 33 inches and warms a living room. The 42 has glass 42 by 36 inches, warms a family room and adds a night light. Both include a remote and blower.
What venting and fuel does the Napoleon Altitude X need?
Direct vent uses a sealed pipe through the wall or roof for exhaust and fresh air, with no chimney. Order natural gas or propane for that fuel setup. A gas fitter runs the gas line. An installer sets the pipe.
What can I customize on a Napoleon Altitude X?
Choose birch, driftwood or split oak logs and brick, reflective porcelain or black glass back panels. Add a decorative front and trim. The remote and blower are included. Choose on the product page or call us and we will talk it through.
What does the X mean on a Napoleon Altitude X?
The X marks the current version, and both fireplaces here are X versions. You get extra tall glass, a clean face, a remote and blower, and log and panel choices. We do not carry the older version, so check model letters when comparing quotes. Use a knowledgeable installer and a licensed gas fitter. Call us and we will talk it through.
