The Grand Canyon Bedrock Series brings together the Bedrock Contemporary linear drop in burner and case, the Bedrock II ventless burner and case, and Western Driftwood Bedrock Traditional GlowFire logs. You can build or refit a long trough style or contemporary fireplace around these options. Choose a burner and case for a glass bed, or pair the driftwood logs with their matching burner.

What a Grand Canyon Bedrock burner includes

A Bedrock linear drop in burner is a complete fire system specifically designed for a trough style or open face fireplace, bringing the case, burner, remote control, five flame heights and built in lights together. It suits a long fireplace like those on our Linear Fireplaces page. If you only need a burner, compare our Gas Fireplace Burners.

Vented and ventless choices

The vented contemporary system spans 24 to 96 inches and comes in a powder coated steel case. The ventless version comes in 24, 36, 48 or 60 inches and is listed for vented and ventless use. Compare it with other ventless gas logs if your fireplace calls for that setup.

Driftwood logs for Bedrock Traditional

The pale Western Driftwood log set fits fireplaces 48, 60 or 72 inches wide. You add the matching Bedrock Traditional burner and lava rock or half inch reflective fire glass on the page. The Glow Series GlowFire log technology puts the burn tubes inside the actual logs, so the flames come from the logs themselves and you get a fuller flame on less gas with far less soot.

Toppings and checks before you order

The contemporary burner requires half inch reflective fire glass, offered in seven colors, and can take cannonballs or driftwood on top. The ventless burner takes only that glass. Choose the length and fuel before ordering, because each burner is built for one gas and cannot be converted. Check household power too, whether you plug in or hard wire.

Your Bedrock questions

Is the Grand Canyon Bedrock burner vented or ventless?

The contemporary and Traditional systems are vented and need the damper open. The ventless version is listed for both uses and can run with the damper closed where local code allows. Ventless lengths stop at 60 inches, while the contemporary system reaches 96 inches.

Can I use a Bedrock burner outdoors?

Yes, you can use these systems on a covered patio. Each listing allows use indoors or on a covered patio, not out in the weather. The ignition and lights use household power, and the case and controls need protection from the weather.

Can the Bedrock burner be switched between natural gas and propane?

No, you choose natural gas or propane on the product page. The burner is built for that fuel and cannot be converted later, so check your fireplace gas line before ordering. Call us if you are unsure which fuel your Grand Canyon Bedrock system needs.
