The barrels

A 4 person barrel sauna comes in natural or black. The six foot barrel offers a plain front, rear window or full glass front, about 71 inches long and 81 inches across, with room to stand and a curved bench along each side. Cubes, cabins and the pod

The four person cube has an L of benches, about 81 by 63 inches. Its glass front opens the view. See the Cube line among our outdoor sauna kits.

The SaunaLife beam cabin takes about 72 by 64 inches, or 82 by 75 including the roof. The pod has an arched roof and terrace, about 95 by 87 inches. The porch cabin has two bench rows and a covered porch, about 59 by 80 inches.

Indoor rooms and finished buildings

Finnmark offers infrared or hybrid heat indoors. Infrared needs its own circuit, wired by a licensed electrician. The hybrid needs two circuits and runs its Harvia stove and infrared together.

Sweaty Yeti seats four to six, with commercial rooms for larger groups. Allow 8 by 9 feet, or 8 by 17 with a plunge room or workout room, on a level pad. Read our cold plunge frequency guide. If you want infrared in the yard, our outdoor hybrids come for two, three, five and six people, not four.

Heaters, stoves and extras

SaunaLife electric sauna heater packages are chosen on the page with controls and stones. Electric heaters need their own circuit, wired by a licensed electrician. The plain barrel, rear window barrel and beam cabin accept wood burning stoves, with chimney parts chosen on the page. Add buckets and ladles from sauna accessories.

The six foot barrel measures about 71 by 81 inches, and the wide barrel measures 91 by 63 inches. The cube takes about 81 by 63 inches. Indoors, allow about 71 by 45 inches for infrared or 75 by 64 for hybrid.

What size heater do I need for a 4 person sauna?

Can I use a wood burning stove instead of an electric heater?

The plain barrel, rear window barrel and beam cabin can take your own wood burning stove. Choose the chimney parts on the page and install it as its manual says. The stove needs no wiring. The other rooms here use electric heat.

Does a 4 person sauna really fit four adults?
