Who makes Le Griddle?

The maker designs and builds its griddles in the USA and is based in Spring, Texas. This stainless steel griddle has a durable, heavy stainless steel body. Heavy stainless steel bonded over cast iron on an aluminum base gives the cooking plate even heat distribution. Compare brands in our outdoor griddles collection.

Pro Series or Commercial Series?

The Pro Series adds backlit knobs and a halogen cooking light over the plate. It needs a standard household outlet. The Commercial Series has neither lighting feature and needs no outlet, so it suits a spot with gas but no power.

The 40 has one burner and about 16 by 16 inches of cooking surface for a couple or small family. It comes only in the Pro Series. The 75 has two burners and about 29 by 16 inches for family outdoor cooking. The 105 has three burners and about 41 by 16 inches for hosting, with room to sear, cook and keep food warm.

The thinner plate or the thicker plate?

The 3mm plate is about an eighth of an inch thick and lighter. The 6mm plate is about a quarter inch thick, holds its heat under cold food and reheats faster between batches. The 75 and 105 offer either plate in both series. The 40 has only the thinner plate.

The electric griddles

The Wee has about 16 by 16 inches for up to 12 people, with one thermostat-controlled heating zone on one dedicated circuit. The Ranch Hand has about 29 by 16 inches for up to 20 people, with two separately controlled zones, two plugs and two dedicated circuits. Both have stainless steel bodies and stainless steel over cast iron plates. Neither needs gas, and each stainless lid is an add-on. Find both in our outdoor electric griddles collection.

Island, counter or cart?

Every model fits an island cutout, a non combustible counter or an optional cart. Browse built-in griddles or griddles with cart options for your backyard layout. A wood framed island needs an insulating liner, an add-on on the page, and the cart is also an add-on.

Choose natural gas or propane on each gas model page. Our natural gas griddles and propane griddles pages group those options, but the gas hose or flex line is an add-on, not in the box. For the surrounding space, browse our outdoor kitchen appliances and islands.

Your questions answered

Where is Le Griddle made?

The brand makes its griddles in the USA and is based in Spring, Texas. Heavy stainless steel sits over cast iron on an aluminum base. We are an authorized dealer, and every listing carries the full manufacturer warranty.

What is the difference between the Pro Series and the Commercial Series?

Shared sizes have the same burners and plate choices. The Pro Series adds backlit knobs and a halogen cooking light, requiring a standard household outlet. The Commercial Series has no lights and needs no outlet, suiting gas locations without power. The 40 comes only in the Pro Series.

Should I pick the 3mm or the 6mm plate?

The thinner plate is about an eighth of an inch thick and lighter. The thicker plate is about a quarter inch thick, holds heat under cold food and reheats faster between batches for crowds. The 75 and 105 offer either, while the 40 has only the thinner plate.

What can I cook on a Le Griddle?

Cook eggs and pancakes on low, or sear steak, bacon and smash burgers on the hot side. Stir fries and seafood stay on the surface rather than falling through grates. Cast iron spreads heat evenly, and the 75 and 105 let you keep food warm on a low side.

Do I need a gas line, or is there an electric Le Griddle?

Choose natural gas or propane on the gas model page. The gas hose or flex line is an add-on. The Wee and Ranch Hand plug in without a gas line, using one dedicated circuit and two dedicated circuits respectively, so they suit a patio with power but no gas.

How do I clean a Le Griddle?

Scrape the plate with a spatula or scraper after cooking, then wipe it down once it has cooled. For a deeper clean, put ice on the warm plate and work it with a heavy duty scouring pad. That is the cleaning routine for your Le Griddle.
