LOVE this suana. Maya and Norse Steam Team were amazing to work with!
Pool water bowls bring the look and sound of falling water to your backyard swimming pool or spa. Also called outdoor water bowls, these water-only pieces sit on a raised pool wall, spa wall or raised planter. If you are building or remodeling, think about where you want that moving water to draw the eye. These water bowls for pools make a poolside focal point in a modern outdoor living space, whether you choose one bowl or balance the view with a pair.
How a pool water bowl pours
A water line feeds the bowl through the included base fitting. Water cascades back into the pool through the included front scupper. A valve sets the flow. There is no flame or gas. Choose pool scuppers for spouts without bowls.
Spill styles, shapes and sizes
A front spill pours a clean sheet or a narrow stream. A wide spillway spans most of the front edge, pouring a broad sheet like a small waterfall. The cone-shaped bowls pour from a side spillway. Wall-mounted half bowls have a flat back, so water seems to come out of the wall. You can choose round, square, half-sphere or fluted urn shapes in sizes from 24 to 48 inches across. Many people set a pair on either side of the steps or the spa where you can see or hear them from the patio.
Materials that live by a pool
Glass fiber reinforced concrete, which the maker calls GFRC concrete, offers a stone look in 18 colors or three wood-grain finishes. Hammered copper develops a blue-green patina. Pair it with copper fire pits. Brushed stainless steel keeps its shine with occasional wiping. Steel with a powder coat finish comes in 15 colors.
Bowls that match
The same molds let you match shape, size and finish with pool fire bowls, fire and water bowls, planter and water bowls or planter bowls. For falling water without a pool, explore outdoor water fountains with their own basin.

FAQ
How does a pool water bowl work?
A line from the pool’s circulation feeds a fitting in the bowl’s base. The bowl fills, then the front scupper pours a sheet back into the pool. It recirculates the same water. A valve adjusts the flow from a whisper to a full sheet.
Does a water bowl need its own pump?
The bowl has no pump or wiring. Your pool builder can plan a dedicated pump or a valved circulation line to keep the sheet even. A row needs more flow than one bowl. Call us with your bowl sizes to talk it through.
Which material is best beside a pool?
All four materials are built to live beside a pool. Stainless steel handles salt air and pool chemicals with occasional wiping. Powder-coated steel keeps its chosen color. Concrete offers 18 colors and three wood-grain looks. A hammered copper pool water bowl develops a blue-green patina.
