Barrel, cube or cabin?
SaunaLife offers its plain barrel, rear window barrel and shallow cube in natural or black. The barrel saunas include the 59 by 81 inch room with curved benches. Choose the half moon window in the SaunaLife barrel line for a view behind you. The SaunaLife cube line includes an 81 by 49 inch room with a glass front.
The espresso cube has red cedar inside and takes about 79 by 71 inches. The barn style room has a tile roof and takes about 69 by 68 inches plus overhang. Meet the two makers
The barrels and cube from SaunaLife are thermo-spruce with aspen benches. If you choose a barrel, two people build it in about a day. For these sauna kits, the electric heater package is chosen on the page.
The cubes, barn rooms and hemlock cabin from Golden Designs come with their Harvia stove. When you plan assembly, the maker says two adults assemble a cabin in about an hour with two screwdrivers and a ladder. Every electric heater needs its own circuit, wired by a licensed electrician.

Match the room to your available space. Footprints range from about 81 by 49 inches for the shallow cube to 84 by 74 inches for the hemlock cabin. Leave room for the door to swing and account for the roof overhang.
Can 3 people comfortably fit in a 3 person sauna?
Yes, for a regular session. The SaunaLife cube seats three along one 76 inch bench, while the barrel has curved benches with backrests along both sides. The hemlock cabin has two bench rows. If you host more than three, consider the 4 Person page.
Should I install a sauna for three people inside or outside?
Every room here is an outdoor kit with a weather built shell and a shingle or tile roof for your yard or patio. We have no indoor room for three. The Indoor Saunas page holds one, two and four person rooms.
Traditional or hybrid: which 3 person sauna should I pick?
Traditional rooms heat air with a stove and stones for steam. Hybrids add infrared heaters for gentler sessions at a lower temperature. A switch selects one heat source at a time. Choose a hybrid 3 person sauna if your household prefers different kinds of heat.
