You’ll find every pizza oven we sell here in its propane version. If your yard has no gas line or you want an oven that may move, you’re in the right place for an outdoor propane pizza oven. You can select propane on each product page. Three ovens fit an island cutout, and one sits on a countertop. Whether you’re making backyard pizza or hosting a pizza party, allow about 25 minutes to heat the ceramic pizza stone through before loading a 12 inch pizza.

How to choose a propane pizza oven

A built-in pizza oven fits an island cutout. The countertop hybrid pizza oven sits on adjustable feet and burns gas, wood or both. For an island, you can choose thermostat control or two gas burners. The thermostat ovens hold your set temperature and include a ceramic stone, baking rack and wooden pizza peel. They have a glass door window and interior light. You'll need a 120 volt outlet, or you can ask about the battery pack option for ignition.

Propane, natural gas and the island

A natural gas pizza oven suits a plumbed outdoor kitchen. For propane, a cylinder inside the island must follow the manual's ventilation rules. The countertop oven connects to a propane tank beside it. Fuel conversions go through the dealer, not at home.

The brands

Summerset makes the countertop hybrid with a temperature readout. Fire Magic makes the two thermostat ovens. Videl makes the 30 inch two-burner drop-in.

Questions we hear most

Propane or natural gas, which should I choose?

The pizza is the same. Propane suits yards without a gas line or ovens that may move. Natural gas suits plumbed islands, with no tank to refill. Choose your fuel on the product page, and your oven arrives set up for it.

Can a propane pizza oven be built into an island?

Yes, three of the four ovens are drop-ins, each available for propane. You'll find the cutout dimensions in the spec sheet. A cylinder stored inside the island must follow the ventilation rules in the oven's manual.

Does pizza taste different on propane than on wood?

Gas gives steady, repeatable heat and a crisp crust without ash to clean. A wood-fired oven adds smoke aroma and darker char spots. The hybrid propane pizza oven lets you add wood after a gas preheat if you want both.
