This DuraVent DuraLiner collection holds round and oval rigid pipe, flexible sections, connectors and top kits for relining a masonry chimney. This insulated chimney liner serves wood, pellet, coal, oil or gas appliances, including a wood stove or fireplace insert. You pick 6 or 8 inch to match your appliance outlet and round or oval to match the flue. The chimney relining system has insulation built into the rigid pipe at the factory.

DuraLiner rigid, flex and oval options

The rigid chimney liner has insulation sealed between a stainless steel inner wall and a coated steel outer wall. It needs no wrapping or spacers and is listed to touch the masonry with zero clearance, even where the masonry touches combustible framing. The double wall pipe has a smooth inner wall, so it builds less creosote than the old flue and helps the reline draft well. Choose 6 or 8 inch round pipe, or an oval chimney liner for a narrow flue with the same flow as matching round pipe.

Short flexible sections handle the bend past the smoke shelf after the damper is removed. Rigid lengths come in 12, 24, 36 or 48 inches, with each riveted joint taking 1 1/2 inches off the assembled length. Compare our chimney liners, including DuraFlex stainless steel for an all-flexible route.

Parts from the appliance to the cap

Stove connectors and elbows join wood burning fireplace inserts to the liner. Pellet stoves, oil furnaces and boilers use the same liner. A tee takes a side connection, while an adjustable sleeve reaches from a rear outlet to the tee. For a stove connection through the masonry and framed wall, the wall pass through meets the room's stove pipe.

The top kit includes a weight-bearing base plate, a lowering clamp, a storm collar and a cap that opens for sweeping. The liner must stand 6 inches above the masonry with no joint above the clamp. Flex above the first clay flue tile needs the insulation kit for zero clearance, while bare flex needs a 1 inch gap held by spacers.

When the chimney top is damaged

Damaged upper bricks can be removed down to a sound section. A transition anchor plate lets the shortened chimney finish in DuraPlus chimney pipe or DuraTech insulated chimney, with round liner hanging below. Choose the plate made for that chimney line rather than mixing parts.

Your liner questions

Is DuraLiner a zero clearance liner?

Yes, the factory-insulated rigid pipe can touch masonry, even where it touches wood framing. It needs no wrapping or spacers. Above the first clay flue tile, flex needs the insulation kit for that clearance, or a 1 inch gap held by spacers.

Can DuraLiner go inside a cracked clay flue liner?

Yes, the rigid pipe carries exhaust inside its own insulated walls rather than relying on the cracked clay. Have the chimney cleaned and inspected first. The pipe runs from above the damper to the top, with oval sections for a narrow flue.

Is the insulation sleeve required?

The rigid pipe needs no sleeve because it is factory insulated. Wrap flex above the first clay flue tile, while bare flex needs a 1 inch gap with spacers. For draft and safety, DuraVent recommends wrapping every flexible section in your DuraLiner system.
