The Outdoor Plus scuppers let you choose how water falls from your raised pool wall. You can keep it small with a tube, spread it into a wide sheet or break it into separate streams. Start with the shape of the falling water, then measure the width you want along the wall. Every spout here is made in the USA. We can talk through the mouth shape, material and flow with you before you choose.

The Outdoor Plus scuppers: the spout that makes the waterfall

A water scupper sets into a pool wall, spa wall or raised planter. Its mouth shapes the fall. Compare our pool scuppers, or explore other outdoor water features for something beyond a wall spout.

A stream, a sheet or rain

Mini spouts have plain, scooped or angled mouths for a small stream or sheet. Choose a round tube at 2 or 3 inches or a V trough at 4 to 8 inches for one stream. Rolled and flat lips make a sheet in widths from 6 to 48 inches. A tall copper wall panel carries water down an open channel to the lip below. For rain, choose a box with a row of nozzles in widths from 6 to 36 inches, fed through a threaded water inlet on top.

Powder-coated sculptures

For a sculpture instead, the Designer Series offers water-only and fire and water pieces. Their powder coat comes in 15 colors. These sculptures are built to order. Six are water only and five carry a flame on top with water pouring below. The fire pieces run on natural gas or propane.

Copper or stainless steel

Copper darkens toward a patina. Stainless steel stays bright with an occasional wipe. Copper pairs with a copper water bowl and darkens toward a patina that suits a stone or earth-toned wall and a planted landscape. Stainless steel takes sprinklers, salt air and pool chemicals and suits a modern tiled wall. For a bowl rather than a bare spout, compare water bowls and fire and water bowls.

Feeding the scupper

Your pool equipment feeds the spout. A valve sets the flow. A row of three needs more flow than one small tube. Consider an outdoor fireplace with a scupper for water above a flame, or fire and water fountains with their own basin for a yard without a pool.

FAQ

What is a scupper?

A pool scupper is a spout set into a raised wall, fed from behind by pool plumbing. It pours into the pool or spa below. Its mouth makes a stream, sheet or rain. The word comes from drainage openings on a boat's deck.

Do pool scuppers need a separate pump?

The scupper has no pump. Pool equipment supplies the water. Most pool builders use a separate pump or valved line to keep the sheet even when the main pump cycles. Call us with your widths to talk through flow.

Copper, stainless steel or powder coat?

Copper darkens toward a patina beside stone or earth tones. Stainless steel stays bright with an occasional wipe and suits modern tile. The sculptures offer 15 powder-coat colors to match or contrast. The Outdoor Plus scuppers are made in the USA.
