A Napoleon Element electric fireplace gives you a classic log fire look without a gas line or a chimney. Choose a built-in electric fireplace in one of two sizes for your living room, family room or den. The Element fits into a framed wall or an existing mantel opening. If you want a traditional electric fireplace rather than a modern look, start by choosing the width that suits your space.

The 36 is 36 inches wide, and the 42 is 42 inches wide. The included oak log set and brick side panels give both a traditional hearth look. Each can be built into a framed wall or set into an existing mantel opening. Browse our fireplace mantels or compare electric fireplace insert choices across brands.

Lights, heat and power

The top light above the fire has four color settings: clear, blue, orange or purple. Adjust the realistic flame and the ember bed brightness with the remote or control panel. Plug it into a regular wall outlet to heat a room of up to 400 square feet. An electrician can hardwire it for a higher heat output, enough for rooms up to 800 square feet. Run the flames with or without heat year round. You can add a wider trim kit on this page.

For smaller inserts that slide into an existing fireplace opening, compare Cineview. For another traditional look with split oak logs, explore the gas or electric options in Elevation.
