The DuraVent DirectVent Pro 8×11 Vinyl Siding Standoff Kit is a four piece stainless steel spacer for the outside wall cap. It assembles around the vent opening to shield vinyl siding from the cap’s heat. It also provides a flat mounting surface on brick veneer, stucco, ship lap, or shake shingles. The cap fastens to the standoff rather than the siding. DirectVent Pro 8×11 is DuraVent’s large size pipe inside a pipe vent for big direct vent gas fireplaces, with an 8 inch exhaust pipe inside an 11 inch air pipe.
This vent size connects only to matching parts. DuraVent makes two adapters to transition to or from its 5 by 8 inch DirectVent Pro pipe where the fireplace maker approves. A complete run is assembled from separate parts, not supplied as a ready made DuraVent kit. Using ship lap or shake siding? DirectVent Pro 8×11 is a coaxial venting system designed for use with direct vent gas appliances.
Materials and Construction
Vertical and horizontal terminations are constructed of stainless steel. Outer pipe brings combustion air to the appliance and the inner pipe exhausts flue gases to the outside. Gaskets or sealants are not required (unless specified by the appliance manufacturer).

Vertical Termination Cap
Provides improved performance in high wind conditions. For vertical terminations only. Stainless steel construction.
Horizontal Termination Cap
Use for standard and high-wind through-the-wall applications. Check the appliance manufacturer’s installation instructions for minimum distance from windows and doors, and any other restrictions. Stainless Steel exterior construction. 2-piece adjustable design allows for up to 5-1/2” of adjustment.
Adjustable Pipe
Use when an exact length must be met between elbow offset or elsewhere. The Adjustable Length is a 2 piece design with an adjustability of 7” (15” to 22”).
45° Elbow
Use to offset around obstructions as needed. Fully unitized, twist-lock construction. Elbow has a swivel base, allowing the lock to remain fully engaged while aligning to the desired direction. The angle will remain fixed at 45°.
90° Elbow
Use to offset around obstructions as needed. Fully unitized, twist-lock construction. Elbows swivel, allowing the lock to remain fully engaged while aligning to the desired direction. The angle will remain fixed at 90°.
Pipe Length
Available in 12", 18", 24", 36", and 48" lengths. Designed for appliances tested and approved for DirectVent Pro 8x11. The 8x11 features a fully unitized twist-lock construction. Use of sealant is optional, unless specified by the appliance manufacturer. To calculate installed length, subtract 1 5⁄8” for each joint.
Adjustable Attic Insulation Shield
Required for installations that pass through an attic to prevent insulation and debris from accumulating near the vent. Includes base with overlapping shields and collar.
Wall Thimble
Provides a complete wall-pass through and firestop when used with the Horizontal Cap. Accommodates a wall thickness of 5-1/2” to 10-1/2”. Provides a 3” clearance at the top and 2” clearance at the bottom and sides. Check with the appliance manufacturer’s installation instructions and local codes for requirements. 811DVP-WT
FAQ
What is the 8×11 Vinyl Siding Standoff Kit?
A four-piece stainless steel heat shield that spaces the DirectVent Pro 8×11 Horizontal Cap off the wall, protecting vinyl siding or other temperature-sensitive materials from the cap’s heat. It also lets the cap sit flat on irregular surfaces such as veneer brick, stucco, shiplap or shake shingle siding rather than being embedded in them.
Is it only for vinyl siding?
No. DuraVent specifies it for any temperature-sensitive siding and for any irregular surface where the horizontal cap would not seat flat, which is why brick veneer and stucco are named. If the wall is smooth and non-combustible the fireplace manual decides whether a standoff is needed.
Does it fit the standard DirectVent Pro caps?
No; it is built for the 8 x 11 inch horizontal cap only. The 4 x 6-5/8 and 5 x 8 inch DirectVent Pro caps use their own standard or small vinyl siding standoff kits. Match the standoff to the cap size and style you are installing.
How is it installed?
The standoff pieces mount around the framed opening on the exterior wall and the Horizontal Termination Cap is fastened to the standoff instead of the siding, then sealed around its edges to keep water out. Use fasteners suited to the wall behind the siding. The wall thimble and horizontal firestop are separate parts.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
