DuraVent PolyPro Flex Adapter Kit: connects both ends of one flex liner to rigid pipe
The DuraVent PolyPro Flex Adapter Kit is a pair of adapters that connects a flexible chimney liner to rigid vent pipe. The male adapter joins rigid pipe to the liner at the bottom of the chimney. The female adapter connects the liner back to rigid pipe at the top. You get both adapters and two flex gaskets, which seal the connections. Choose 3, 4, or 5 inch to match your flex liner. PolyPro is DuraVent’s polypropylene vent pipe for high efficiency condensing gas boilers, furnaces, and water heaters.
The liner is trimmed to the needed length on site with a saw or knife, making the cut in a groove. Before ordering, the appliance manufacturer must approve PolyPro Flex for your particular appliance. The system uses only DuraVent terminations, the parts where the vent ends outdoors. An existing chimney must also be inspected and found sound before it serves as the passage for the liner. Need just the bottom connection? See the DuraVent PolyPro Flex Male Adapter, sold separately. The DuraVent PolyPro Flex Adapter Kit ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What is the PolyPro Flex Adapter Kit for?
It contains one male and one female adapter with two flex gaskets, the pair that lets a PolyPro run switch from rigid pipe to flexible liner at the base of a chimney and back to rigid pipe at the top. Choose 3, 4 or 5 inch on the selector to match the flex. It is used with the PolyPro flex lining system.
Do I need this if I bought the Flex Chimney Lining Kit?
Not for a single liner: the lining kit already includes male and female flex adapters. Buy this kit when you need a second pair, for example to join two flex lengths through a rigid section, to replace adapters or gaskets, or when assembling a lining run from individual parts rather than the kit.
How do the adapters seal?
Each adapter carries a flex gasket; the flex pushes onto the adapter over the gasket and is secured with a locking clamp, which DuraVent requires on every exhaust joint. Lubricate gaskets with soapy water only, never petroleum products, and check the gasket sits evenly in its groove before clamping.
Which appliances use PolyPro flex?
Category II and IV condensing gas appliances listed to use PolyPro, such as high-efficiency water heaters, condensing boilers and warm-air furnaces, with exhaust up to 230 F and 15 inches water column. The chimney the flex runs in must not vent any other appliance. The appliance manual sets the maximum vent length.
What clearance applies to the flex and adapters?
Vertical PolyPro, including the double-wall flex, is listed at zero clearance to combustibles up to 230 F; horizontal single-wall pipe needs 1/4 inch above 194 F and must slope back to the appliance 3/8 inch per foot. Lining kits, flex lengths and clamps are in the PolyPro category.
