DuraVent PolyPro Male PVC Appliance Adapter: joins PolyPro to a stainless steel appliance outlet
The DuraVent PolyPro Male PVC Appliance Adapter is an adapter that connects PolyPro to a standard stainless steel appliance exhaust outlet with its own hose clamp and gasket. The PVC name refers to its outside diameter, which matches PVC pipe. It does not describe the outlet it connects to. PolyPro is DuraVent’s polypropylene vent pipe for high efficiency condensing gas boilers, furnaces, and water heaters. This gray plastic pipe handles their cool, wet exhaust without corroding from the acidic liquid it produces. Polypropylene also withstands hotter exhaust than PVC or CPVC.
Choose 3 to 2 inch to connect a 3 inch outlet to 2 inch PolyPro. The 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 inch versions keep both ends the same size. DuraVent requires an adapter connector for exhaust use unless the appliance outlet has its own clamp. Straight PolyPro pipe can be shortened with a hacksaw, leaving a square end with rough edges removed. Cutting removes the clamp tab, so that joint needs a locking clamp or locking band clamp. Screws must never pierce the pipe wall. Need the connector? See the DuraVent PolyPro Universal PVC Adapter Connector clamp. The DuraVent PolyPro Male PVC Appliance Adapter ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.
