Le Griddle Pro Series 75 6mm: a family size gas griddle with a heavier plate
The Le Griddle Pro Series 75 6mm is a stainless steel gas flat top griddle for families. The cooking surface measures 29 by 16 inches. The cooking plate is 304 stainless steel bonded over cast iron on an aluminum base, so the heat spreads evenly. It can be built into an outdoor kitchen island, set on a non combustible counter, or rolled around on the optional cart. A wood framed island needs the insulating liner, which you can add on the page. Le Griddle designs and builds its griddles in the USA, and the company is based in Spring, Texas.
Two burners supply 18,000 BTUs. The 6mm plate, about a quarter inch thick, holds its temperature when cold food lands and reheats faster between batches. The Pro Series backlit knobs and halogen cooking light need a household outlet. Choose natural gas or propane on the page. Parts for the other fuel are included. The gas hose or flex line is picked separately. Need more cooking room? See the Le Griddle Pro Series 105 6mm three burner griddle. The Le Griddle Pro Series 75 6mm ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
Who should choose the 6mm plate over the 3mm?
Anyone who cooks big batches back to back. The 6mm plate is twice the mass of the 3mm one, so it keeps its temperature when cold food hits it and recovers faster between rounds, at a higher price. Construction is otherwise the same: 304 stainless over cast iron on an aluminum base plate with the Texas Sea Glass matte finish and a lifetime residential plate warranty.
What size is the cooking area and cut-out?
The listed cooking surface is 29 inches wide by 16 inches deep, fed by two 9,000 BTU U-shaped burners for 18,000 BTU total. The counter cut-out is 28-3/4 inches wide, 16-3/4 deep and 5-3/4 high, the same opening as the 3mm model, so either plate thickness fits the same island.
What is the wind guard for?
The Wind Guard on the Optional Addons selector is a stainless surround that mounts around the plate to keep gusts from stripping heat off the cooking surface and pushing grease smoke back at you. It fits the 75 series without any extra parts. Choose it here rather than after delivery so it ships together with the griddle.
Which covers are available for this griddle?
Three vinyl covers are on the Optional Addons selector: a plate cover for the bare griddle, a lid cover for units fitted with the stainless lid, and a cart cover for a griddle on the portable cart. Pick the one that matches your setup, and only fit a cover once the griddle has cooled completely.
Do I need electricity and a gas line?
Both. The gas side is natural gas or propane, selected in the required Gas Type selector, with the other orifices included; a 3/8 inch fitting takes the flex line or propane hose from the Installation Connectors selector. A 110 V outlet feeds the included transformer for the backlit knobs, halogen light, logo projector and push-and-spark ignition.
How is the Pro Series 75 6mm warranted?
For residential use the Warranty tab lists a lifetime plate warranty, five years on the body, ten years on burners and valves and one year on electronics. Apartment, multi-family and commercial use get ten years on the 6mm plate, five on the body and one year on burners, valves and electronics, with full terms on the linked vendor page.
