FAQ
What makes this island purpose-built for a pizza oven?
The cutout. The ID660 is sized so Fire Magic’s 30-inch Pizza Oven drops straight into the counter as the centerpiece, while the component list adds a 3598 refrigerator for cold storage, the 53934SC double doors for peels and flour, and a timer box. It is a pizzeria’s workflow condensed to 77 inches.
White Aspen or Smoke – which finish?
Purely aesthetic: order the ID660-WAR-77BA for White Aspen or the ID660-SMR-77BA for Smoke. The lighter Aspen reads bright against dark landscaping and pool decks; Smoke grounds a paler patio. Same GFRC construction and the identical 77 by 34.5 by 36.5 in shell either way.
Am I locked into a pizza oven?
No – the cutout is the versatile 660 size, so the same island accepts the Echelon E660i, the Aurora A660i, or the Gourmet Griddle instead. Some owners start with a grill and add the oven years later; the shell does not care which 660-family head is doing the cooking.
What does it take to set up an outdoor pizza station?
Far less than a masonry oven build, which means footings, dome work, and a chimney. With the ID660 the structure arrives engineered: assemble the GFRC sections on-site, set the pizza oven into its cutout, connect gas, and stock the fridge. The hard part becomes the dough.
How does the island handle pizza-night workflow?
Cold to hot: dough proofs and toppings stage in the 3598-DL or -DR refrigerator on the component sheet, prep happens on the counter, pies launch into the oven, and the 53934SC double doors below keep the peel, brush, and flour bin within reach all year.
Is there enough counter to actually work?
The shell runs 77 inches wide and 34.5 deep at a 36.5 in working height, so even with the oven claiming its cutout you keep a genuine landing zone for stretching dough and staging pies. Launch space beside the oven mouth matters more than any accessory – this layout protects it.
How does it differ from the other 77-inch Fire Magic islands?
Same footprint, different personality. The Reclaimed Wood versions wear plank texture and spec a double side burner; the ID660 pizza island goes contemporary in White Aspen or Smoke and puts a refrigerator on the component sheet instead – because pizza needs cold dough more than a second burner.
