A Fire Magic griddle plate gives your grill a flat cooking surface, and this additional accessories page holds plates, a power vent hood, a side burner, an induction cooker and refreshment center ice bins. You can cook breakfast or foods that fall through the bars without choosing a whole new appliance. Start with your grill size and depth, then choose stainless steel or a cast iron griddle.

The two Fire Magic griddle plates

Choose a Fire Magic griddle insert to sit in place of the cooking grids on a Fire Magic gas grill. The Fire Magic stainless steel griddle is quarter inch heavy stainless steel for fried rice, fajitas, bacon and eggs, never needs seasoning and has a removable drip tray. Choose 12 inches wide for 22 inch deep grills, or 18 inches wide for 18 or 22 inch deep grills.

The cast iron plate fits Echelon and Aurora grills and side burners for cooking smash burgers and vegetables. Choose the size for 18 inch deep grills and single side burners, or for 22 inch deep grills and double side burners. Season it first, wipe it warm and store it dry with a film of oil. The 30 inch Aurora built-in gas griddle and the Echelon built-in griddle are whole appliances with their own burners. Browse whole outdoor griddles if you need an appliance rather than a plate.

The vent hood for a covered patio

A Fire Magic vent hood pulls smoke and heat away under a roof or solid top pergola. Choose 36, 42, 48 or 60 inches, wider than the grill and any side burner beneath it. Plan a wall outlet and compare outdoor vent hoods.

The drop-in Fire Magic side burner uses AAA battery ignition without an outlet. The built-in induction cooker needs magnetic cookware and a regular outdoor outlet on its own circuit. The refreshment center ice bins need no outlet and come with drain kits. Your plate and hood questions

Which Fire Magic grills does the griddle plate fit?

The stainless steel plate comes 12 inches wide for 22 inch deep grills, replacing one grid on 36 or 48 inch grills, two on 30 inch grills. The 18 inch plates fit 18 or 22 inch depths and replace two grids. Cast iron fits Echelon, Aurora and the double side burner.

Do I need a vent hood over a Fire Magic grill?

You need a hood only when the grill sits under a roof or solid top pergola, where smoke has nowhere to go. Choose a wall mounted hood wider than the grill and any side burner beneath it. Widths run from 36 to 60 inches, and you need a wall outlet.

Should I choose the cast iron or the stainless steel Fire Magic griddle?

Choose stainless steel for a quarter inch plate that never needs seasoning and has a removable drip tray. Cast iron holds heat like a skillet but needs seasoning. Wipe it warm and store it dry with oil. Both plates cook foods that fall through the bars, so which Fire Magic griddle you pick comes down to whether you want to season it.
