An Empire Comfort Systems electric fireplace brings glowing logs and pulsing embers to your room without a gas line or vent. Choose the Nexfire Traditional for a familiar hearth shape or the Nexfire Linear for a wider focal point. Based in Belleville, Illinois, Empire Comfort Systems has been family owned since 1932. Two Nexfire electric fireplaces

The Nexfire Traditional is a 39 inch traditional electric fireplace for a framed wall. Its LED inner glow log set is molded from real wood, with pulsing embers beneath for a realistic effect. Finish this built-in electric fireplace with a surround in tile, stone, or wood. A black glass door and remote are add-ons.

The Nexfire Linear comes in 34 or 74 inches. Choose the smaller size for a bedroom or office, or the wider fire for a living room. Hang it on the wall with the optional black surround, or recess it into the wall for a flush look. No gas line, no chimney

Both units use a normal household outlet with the plug-in kit or are hardwired by an electrician. Think of each as a fire first and a heater second, adding supplemental heat to the room in front. For the Linear fire bed, choose rocks, pebbles, an ember kit or crushed glass. Explore all our electric fireplaces or the broader indoor fireplace collection.

FAQ

Do Empire electric fireplaces use a lot of electricity?

The flames and lights alone use about what a few light bulbs use. The heater draws more, like a small space heater, and warms the room in front of it. Either unit runs from a normal outlet or is wired in.

How do I turn on an Empire Nexfire electric fireplace?

Plug the unit in or have it wired in first. The remote control turns the fire, lights and heater on and off. The Traditional remote is an add-on. There is no pilot or gas valve. If a control does not respond, call us with the model.

Does an Empire electric fireplace work during a power outage?

No. An electric fireplace needs power, so it provides no fire or heat during an outage. An Empire gas fireplace or gas stove with a standing pilot keeps burning without household power. Look at the gas line if outage heat matters to you.
