DuraVent DuraPlus Manufactured Home Kit: a roof venting kit with chimney pipe included
The DuraVent DuraPlus Manufactured Home Kit is a chimney kit for a wood stove vented through a manufactured home’s roof. Unlike the other DuraPlus kits, it includes two galvanized chimney lengths, each 24 inches long. It also supplies the ceiling support box, stovepipe adapter, and roof weather protection parts. This 6 inch kit works with flat or cathedral ceilings. DuraPlus is DuraVent’s triple wall chimney, the insulated pipe that takes over from the stovepipe at the ceiling or wall and runs up past the roof.
The stove must be listed for manufactured home use. Buy DuraVent’s DVL double wall stovepipe separately to connect the stove to the ceiling box. Most installations need more than the included 4 feet of chimney. Subtract 1 1/2 inch per joint when adding up your chimney length. Use only DuraPlus parts, never DuraTech or DuraChimney. With discontinuation planned for 2026, this kit is sold while stock lasts. Buying chimney pipe separately? See the DuraVent DuraPlus Through the Ceiling Kit. The DuraVent DuraPlus Manufactured Home Kit ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What is in the DuraPlus Manufactured Home Kit?
The 6DP-KMFG kit includes a DVL/DuraBlack Adapter, a 24-inch Square Ceiling Support Box with trim, an adjustable flashing for flat to 6/12 roofs, a Chimney Cap, a Storm Collar and two 24-inch lengths of galvanized DuraPlus chimney pipe. Unlike the standard through-the-ceiling kit it already includes 4 feet of chimney; it is 6-inch only and can also be used on a cathedral ceiling.
What is different about venting a wood stove in a manufactured home?
The stove itself must be listed for mobile-home use and installed exactly to its manual, and DuraVent requires its double-wall DVL connector pipe rather than single-wall stovepipe for solid-fuel appliances in a manufactured home. This kit supplies the DuraPlus through-the-roof chimney above the ceiling; the DVL pipe between the stove and the support box is bought separately.
Will 4 feet of chimney be enough, or do I need more pipe?
Usually you need more. DuraVent’s minimum is 10 to 15 feet of straight chimney above the appliance outlet at sea level, the cap must sit 3 feet above the roof penetration and 2 feet above anything within 10 feet, and each joint loses 1-1/2 inches. Add DuraPlus 6-inch lengths to make up the difference; above 4 feet over the roof an Extended Roof Bracket is required.
What clearance and shields does DuraPlus need in a manufactured home?
DuraPlus is listed for 2 inches of air space to combustibles and the support box must be framed on all four sides. If the chimney passes through an attic space it needs an Attic Insulation Shield unless enclosed in a chase, and a Firestop Radiation Shield wherever it crosses a floor or ceiling without a support box. Always follow the stove manual’s own clearances as well.
Does the kit fit a cathedral ceiling and a steeper roof?
The square support box works for flat or cathedral ceilings. The flashing in the kit covers flat to 6/12 pitches; a steeper roof needs the matching DuraPlus flashing instead. Seal the flashing to the roof and under the storm collar with a non-hardening waterproof sealant; the chimney joints themselves twist-lock and need no sealant or screws.
Is this kit being discontinued?
The product page notes that DuraVent will discontinue this kit in 2026, so availability may be limited. The parts it contains are standard DuraPlus components, and the same installation can be assembled from the DuraPlus Through the Ceiling Kit plus chimney lengths if the kit is no longer available. Kit contents are galvanized; stainless DuraPlus lengths are sold individually.
