DuraVent DVL Increaser: connects a smaller stove outlet to a larger pipe
The DuraVent DVL Increaser is a fitting that joins a smaller wood stove outlet to a larger stovepipe or chimney connection. It goes where the run needs to change to a wider diameter. This is the part for stepping up in size, not narrowing the run. DVL is DuraVent’s double wall black stovepipe, the pipe that runs from a wood stove to the chimney inside the room. Choose from four size changes on this page: 5 to 6 inch, 6 to 7 inch, 7 to 8 inch, or 6 to 8 inch. Match the smaller end to your stove outlet and the larger end to the pipe above it.
DVL’s stainless steel inner wall warms quickly and keeps smoke hot. That helps maintain draft, the upward pull that carries smoke away, and reduces creosote, a residue left by wood smoke. When measuring your run, allow for the connections too. Each joint fits together with a 3/4 inch overlap and three screws, so deduct 3/4 inch per joint from the combined lengths. Need to go smaller instead? See the DuraVent DVL Decreaser fitting. The DuraVent DVL Increaser ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.
