DuraVent FasNSeal 88 Degree Elbow: a turn that keeps the pipe sloped toward the drain
The DuraVent FasNSeal 88 Degree Elbow is a stainless steel fitting that turns a vent run from upward to sideways. It stops just short of a square turn, leaving the sideways section tilted toward the drain rather than level. That helps water from the exhaust flow back instead of sitting in the pipe. This is a welded fitting with a fixed angle, not an adjustable elbow. FasNSeal is DuraVent’s stainless steel vent for high efficiency gas boilers, furnaces, and water heaters, built to carry pressurized exhaust and its acidic condensate outside.
Choose a 3 to 16 inch size on this page to match the vent run. The horizontal pipe must rise away from the appliance at least 1/4 inch per foot so condensate, the liquid left by the exhaust, flows back to the drain. The elbow helps establish that slope, but the pipe still needs support, with hangers every 6 feet along horizontal sections. Need double wall pipe?
