DuraVent PolyPro Concentric Vertical Termination Kit Without Adapters: a roof vent kit when appliance adapters aren’t needed
The DuraVent PolyPro Concentric Vertical Termination Kit Without Adapters is a roof vent kit for an appliance that does not need the two appliance adapters. Those adapters are left out. PolyPro is DuraVent’s polypropylene vent pipe for high efficiency condensing gas boilers, furnaces, and water heaters. Concentric means one pipe inside another. The polypropylene inner pipe carries exhaust out. The powder coated aluminum outer pipe brings combustion air in, using one roof opening instead of two. An included co-linear adapter joins the separate exhaust and air pipes to this termination.
Choose a 2, 3, or 4 inch size, then a black or terra cotta cap. The cap resists sunlight damage. Roof flashing, which covers the roof opening around the vent, is sold separately. Wall straps support the vent rather than the appliance, including after every bend or branch. Fire blocking pieces called firestops go at each floor and ceiling crossing, including the attic floor but not the roof deck. Need appliance adapters included? See the DuraVent PolyPro Vertical Termination Cap Kit Concentric, the kit with adapters. The DuraVent PolyPro Concentric Vertical Termination Kit Without Adapters ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What is in the Vertical Termination Kit Without Adapters?
The same concentric vertical termination as the cap kit, with a UV-resistant black or terra-cotta cap and a co-linear adapter plus one Locking Band Clamp, but without the two appliance adapters. Choose it when the appliance already has PolyPro-compatible outlets or you have adapters. Sizes 2 x 4, 3 x 5 and 4 x 6 inch and the cap color are on the selectors.
When would I pick the kit without adapters?
When the appliance connects to PolyPro directly or the adapters came with the appliance or a previous kit. If the appliance has PVC-style twin outlets and no adapters, choose the Vertical Termination Cap Kit instead, which includes two appliance adapters and the extra clamps. Both terminate the same concentric run.
Does the termination need a storm collar or flashing?
It is designed for DuraVent’s factory PolyPro flashing, and with that flashing no storm collar is required. Select the flashing for your roof pitch; the concentric cap discharges exhaust above the roof and takes combustion air in around it through the single penetration.
What are the temperature and clearance limits?
PolyPro is rated for exhaust up to 230 F and 15 inches water column positive pressure, for Category II and IV condensing gas appliances listed to use it. Concentric components including this termination are listed at zero clearance to combustibles up to 230 F. Firestop each floor and ceiling penetration and never pass a fire-rated assembly without approved firestopping.
How is it connected?
The co-linear adapter joins the twin exhaust and intake pipes to the concentric termination, and joints push together over gaskets lubricated with soapy water and lock with clamps, no sealant. Horizontal runs feeding the vertical must slope back to the appliance at 3/8 inch per foot. Adapters, pipe and flashings are in the PolyPro category.
