FAQ
Is the Wood Grain Cazo really made of wood?
No, and that is the trick. It is GFRC, glass fiber reinforced concrete, cast in molds that pick up authentic plank texture, then finished in Ebony, Ivory, or Oak. You get timber warmth wrapped around a gas flame with zero chance of the bowl itself ever burning.
What sizes does the Wood Grain version come in?
Two: a 24-inch (OPT-24RWGFO) and an uncommon 32-inch (OPT-32RWGFO), a step between the 30 and 36-inch bowls elsewhere in the Cazo family. Both share the deep-dish profile that made this concrete fire pit series popular.
What is included with the bowl?
The GFRC bowl, fire pan, burner, an NG or LP orifice, a whistle-free hose, and black lava rock, which looks sharp against all three wood tones. You pick Match Lit or CSA Certified low-voltage electronic ignition when you order the Wood Grain Cazo.
Is this a fire bowl or a fire pit?
Functionally both. Fire pit is the umbrella term, and bowl describes the shape: a wide, open vessel sitting above grade rather than sunk into it. The Wood Grain Cazo is a gas fire bowl, sculptural and easy to position during install, but plumbed like any gas pit.
Can I put it on a wood deck?
Gas bowls are far deck-friendlier than wood-burning pits since nothing sparks or pops, but the Cazo still radiates heat downward. Set it on a non-combustible pad or pavers, confirm the deck framing can carry the weight, and have your installer verify clearances against the spec sheet.
How do I shut the fire down at night?
Turn the gas off, and that is the entire routine. Close the valve or switch off the electronic ignition and the flames die instantly, with no dousing and no coals to babysit. Once the lava rock in the Wood Grain Cazo cools, you can drop a cover on it.
If I order natural gas, can it be converted to propane later?
Each Wood Grain Cazo is built to order for one fuel, so specify NG or LP at purchase and it ships with the matching orifice. Already own one and switching fuels at a new home? Contact us first, since options depend on the burner setup involved.
