The Outdoor Plus Cazo Fire Bowl - Powder Coated White

Cazo Fire Bowl in powder coat: a Spanish-style steel fire bowl in 15 colors

The Outdoor Plus Cazo fire bowl in powder-coated steel is a round gas fire bowl with a deep, curved shape borrowed from Spanish-style architecture, finished in a baked-on color. Choose a 24, 30, or 36 inch bowl and one of 15 colors. It is handmade in the USA.

Order it for natural gas or propane. Light it with a match, or add electronic ignition and start it with a button. The fire pan, burner, hoses, and fittings are included; a canvas cover, fire glass, and a concrete pedestal that hides a propane tank are optional. Want copper or concrete instead? See the whole Cazo collection. The powder-coated Cazo fire bowl ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ

How tough is the powder-coated finish on this Cazo?

Powder coating is an electrostatically applied, oven-cured shell, noticeably more chip and fade resistant than spray paint. On the Cazo it stands up to sun and weather season after season, and a rinse with a soft cloth keeps the color true. It is the pick if you want this bowl in a specific hue.

What colors and sizes can I order?

Fifteen bakes: Black, White, Silver Vein, Java, Gray, Pewter, Copper Vein, Olive Green, Mist, Soft White, Onyx Black, Bronze Hammertone, Sapphire Blue, White Vein and Gold Vein, across 24, 30, and 36-inch bowls (OPT-R24PCFO, OPT-R30PCFO, OPT-R36PCFO). Darker shades hide soot best, while White and Gray make the flame pop against this fire bowl silhouette.

What hardware ships with the powder-coated Cazo?

The coated bowl, fire pan, burner, a gas orifice matched to your chosen fuel, gas hoses, plus a key valve and key. That valve is your gas control: insert the removable key, turn, and you meter flame height right at the bowl instead of at a wall valve.

How far from the house should we set it up?

Most codes call for at least ten feet between an open flame and structures or overhangs, so check your local rules. Because this Cazo burns gas rather than wood, there are no drifting embers, which is why gas features are often approved closer to living spaces than wood fires.

Fire glass or lava rock on the burner?

Both are rated for gas flames, so it is a style call. Lava rock gives the powder-coated Cazo a natural volcanic bed, while tempered fire glass adds sparkle and pairs beautifully with the Silver Vein or Black finishes. Cover the burner evenly and never substitute ordinary gravel or craft glass.

How hot does the Cazo get?

Gas fire bowls put out grill-class heat, comfortably warming a seating circle several feet out, and the powder-coated shell sheds that heat quickly once the gas is off. Exact output varies by size and fuel, so pull up the Cazo spec sheet or ask us for the burner rating on your size.

Can this bowl live under a covered patio?

Open flame wants open sky. A gas bowl like the Cazo should only run under a roof where ceiling height and ventilation satisfy your local mechanical code, and many jurisdictions simply prohibit it. If your dream spot is covered, talk with us and your installer before ordering.

Some silhouettes never go out of style. Named after the traditional Spanish cooking pot it resembles, the Cazo’s clean tapered cone has become The Outdoor Plus’ signature — and one of the most recognizable fire features in outdoor design.

Line a row of them along a raised bond beam, crown a pair of pillars at the spa, or anchor a quiet corner with a single bowl — then repeat the same shape as a fire bowl, fire & water bowl, water bowl, planter, or planter & water bowl. One silhouette, five roles, five finishes, in sizes from intimate to grand.

One Bowl, Five Ways

Cazo Fire Bowl

09Fire Bowls

The classic: a gas burner beneath a bed of lava rock fills the cone with a tall, open flame. Runs on natural gas or liquid propane, match lit or electronic ignition.

Best for: pool decks, pillars & seating areas

Cazo Fire & Water Bowl

12Fire & Water Bowls

Flame on top, waterfall below — while the burner runs, a scupper spills a smooth sheet of water from the bowl into the pool beneath it.

Best for: spa & pool surrounds

Cazo Planter Bowl

16Planter Bowls

No gas, no plumbing — the same sculptural cone finished as an oversized planter, so living greenery can echo your fire and water bowls.

Best for: entries, steps & softening hardscape

Cazo Planter & Water Bowl

18Planter & Water Bowls

Plants grow in the center while water pours from the scupper beneath them — greenery and moving water sharing one bowl.

Best for: pool walls & raised bond beams

Cazo Water Bowl

20Water Bowls

A pure water feature: the bowl fills and continuously spills from its scupper, adding movement, sound and reflection to the poolscape.

Best for: symmetrical spills along the pool edge

What’s Included In Your Bowl

Exploded diagrams of match lit and low voltage Cazo fire bowls and fire and water bowls

Match Lit Bowls

Ship complete with the burner, fire pan, lava rock, coupling, NG or LP gas orifice, whistle-free hose and ventilating mounting plate — light it by hand, no power needed.

Low Voltage Electronic

Adds a pilot igniter and SWEIS valve for flames at the flip of a switch. Every electronic ignition system runs off a low-voltage transformer.

Fire & Water Bowls

Add a scupper and a dedicated water line, so the same bowl that holds the flame also pours into the pool below.

Liquid Propane

LP applications use a brass air-mixer orifice that blends air into the propane for a cleaner-burning flame — preventing soot from staining the bowl and its surroundings.

Natural Gas

NG applications come with a brass orifice mounted directly under the burner. Key valves must be mounted within arm’s reach of the burner.

Mounting Brackets

Fire bowls ship with a mounting bracket that provides ventilation and a secure mount — the warranty is void if it isn’t properly installed.

Fire Media

Top the burner with the included lava rock. Fire glass isn’t recommended on liquid propane — propane is heavier than air and can pool beneath dense glass.

The Outdoor Plus — American Made Fire & Water Features

Fire Bowls

Hand-crafted gas fire bowls that turn pool walls, pilasters and patios into the warmest place in the backyard.

A fire bowl is a sealed gas fire feature — a sculptural bowl with a built-in burner that runs on natural gas or liquid propane. No firewood, no embers, no smoke chasing your guests around the patio: turn the key and you have instant, controllable flame. Every bowl in this collection is hand-made in the USA by The Outdoor Plus and arrives with the complete burner system already in the bowl.

Straight from the factory

What’s Included in Your Bowl

Every fire bowl ships as a complete kit — bowl, burner, fire pan, lava rock and plumbing. The only choice you need to make is how you want to light it.

  • Everything in the match lit kit, plus:
  • Pilot igniter for push-button starts
  • SWEIS electronic ignition valve
  • Low-voltage transformer

Good to Know

Natural Gas

NG bowls come with a brass orifice mounted directly under the burner. Plan the gas run so the key valve sits within arm’s reach of the bowl.

Liquid Propane

LP bowls use a brass air-mixer orifice that blends air into the propane for a cleaner-burning flame — no soot staining the bowl or the deck around it.

Lava Rock, Not Glass, for LP

Skip fire glass on propane bowls. Propane is heavier than air and can pool under dense glass media — lava rock lets it breathe. On natural gas, glass is fair game.

Mounting & Ventilation

Bowls ship with a ventilating mounting bracket that anchors the bowl and lets the enclosure breathe. Install it properly — it’s required to keep the warranty valid.

Where fire bowls shine

Designed for the Backyard

Close-up of a hammered copper fire bowl rim with lava pebbles and pilot igniter

Fire bowls belong wherever you want light, warmth and drama — on pool walls and pilasters, flanking steps and spas, or standing alone on a patio pedestal or garden column.

One bowl makes a focal point; a matched pair frames a view; a row down the pool wall turns the whole backyard into a resort. Because every bowl runs on your gas line, the flame is instant, adjustable and clean — no wood to haul, no embers, no smoke.

Fill it your way: lava rock is included, or dress natural gas bowls with fire glass in dozens of colors for a jewel-like glow.

Four ways to build a bowl

Materials & Finishes

GFRC Concrete

Glass-fiber reinforced concrete — the strength of cast concrete at a fraction of the weight, highly resistant to weathering, erosion and heat. Offered in smooth, rustic and metallic finishes from Ash to Vanilla.

Powder Coated Steel

Steel bowls sealed in tough powder-coat finishes engineered for harsh outdoor environments — from Matte Black and Java to White, Copper Vein and Sapphire Blue.

Hammered Copper

Hand-hammered copper with a timeless reddish-brown patina. Long-lived, artisanal, an excellent heat conductor — and it only looks better as it ages.

Stainless Steel

Sleek, modern and virtually immune to rust and corrosion — the right choice for coastal and humid climates, with high heat tolerance for years of safe use.

Every bowl on this page is built to order in the USA by The Outdoor Plus and configured on the product page — size, finish, fuel type and ignition — with free shipping and no sales tax (except WY).
