DuraVent PelletVent 45 Degree Elbow: a gentle turn around obstacles in the pipe’s path
The DuraVent PelletVent 45 Degree Elbow is a bent vent fitting for pellet stoves and inserts. Two elbows let the pipe step sideways around a joist, header, or another pipe, then return to its original direction. The base turns a full circle to aim the elbow where needed, but the bend stays fixed. PelletVent is DuraVent’s double wall pellet stove vent: a stainless steel inner pipe inside a galvalume outer pipe, sold in 3 and 4 inch sizes. Choose the diameter that matches your run, then pick galvalume or painted black. The elbow’s seams come sealed from the factory.
The joints connect with a push and a twist to lock, with the label’s UP arrows pointing upward. Your stove maker sets the vent layout limits, including how many elbows you can use. DuraVent recommends keeping runs short and turns few. It also favors routing inside the house or an enclosed pipe passage, since long, cold runs collect more moisture from the exhaust. Need a square turn from sideways to upward? See the DuraVent PelletVent 90 Degree Elbow for a square turn.
