DuraVent PolyPro Concentric Horizontal Termination Kit Without Adapters: a wall vent kit without the appliance adapters
The DuraVent PolyPro Concentric Horizontal Termination Kit Without Adapters is a wall vent kit for appliances that don’t need the two appliance adapters. Its pipe inside a pipe outlet carries exhaust out and combustion air in. PolyPro is DuraVent’s polypropylene vent pipe for high efficiency condensing gas boilers, furnaces, and water heaters. You get a white sun resistant outlet with a bird screen, a white wall plate, a white firestop that closes the wall opening, and an adapter that brings the separate exhaust and air pipes together. Choose 2, 3, or 4 inch.
Use DuraVent PolyPro parts and joining methods throughout. Another brand’s polypropylene pipe needs a DuraVent adapter made for that connection. Plastic vent passing through a fire rated wall or floor needs approved firestopping. Wall straps support vertical and other runs, including just after each elbow or tee, so the appliance doesn’t bear the vent’s weight. Firestops also go at every floor and ceiling the vent crosses, including the attic floor but not the roof deck. Need the appliance adapters too? See the DuraVent PolyPro Horizontal Termination Kit Concentric with adapters. The DuraVent PolyPro Concentric Horizontal Termination Kit Without Adapters ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What is in the Horizontal Termination Kit Without Adapters?
The white concentric wall termination with bird-guard screen, a white wall plate, a white firestop, a co-linear adapter and one Locking Band Clamp; the two appliance adapters and their clamps are left out. Choose it when the appliance already connects to PolyPro. Sizes 2, 3 and 4 inch are on the selector.
How is it different from the full horizontal kit?
Only by the adapters: the full concentric horizontal kit adds two appliance adapters and two adapter clamps to transition from a PVC-style appliance outlet to twin-pipe PolyPro. If your boiler or water heater has PolyPro-compatible outlets, or you already own the adapters, this kit is the economical choice; the termination and plates are identical.
What wall opening does it need?
The inner plate is 8-5/8 inches square and the outer plate 9-7/16 inches square for all flue sizes, so the opening is the same for 2, 3 or 4 inch pipe. The firestop closes the penetration inside and the wall plate covers it outside. PolyPro may not pass a fire-rated assembly without approved firestopping.
Which appliances and clearances apply?
Category II and IV condensing gas appliances listed to use PolyPro, rated to 230 F exhaust and 15 inches water column. The concentric termination is listed at zero clearance to combustibles; single-wall pipe feeding it needs 1/4 inch on horizontal runs above 194 F. The appliance manual sets the maximum vent length and NFPA 54 the termination distances.
How is the run installed?
Slope the horizontal pipe back to the appliance at least 3/8 inch per foot, push joints together over soapy-water-lubricated gaskets and fit a locking clamp on every exhaust joint without sealant. Place the termination clear of windows, air inlets, eddies and snow. Pipe, elbows and adapters are in the PolyPro category.
