Modern Flames Landscape Pro Slim: a slim fireplace for a standard wall
The Modern Flames Landscape Pro Slim is a slim linear electric fireplace you build into a wall or hang on it. It is low and wide and under 6 inches deep, so it fits inside a standard 2 by 6 wall. It comes in five widths from 44 to 96 inches. Pick the size on the page. The flame picture is 14 inches tall. You choose the flame color, the ember bed color, and the downlight color, so the fire can look natural or match your room. It is rated for a covered patio as well as indoors, out of rain and direct sun.
It needs no gas line and no chimney. Plug it into a wall outlet on its own circuit. It heats a room of up to 400 square feet with 5,000 BTU. Run the flames with or without heat. It comes with a remote, and you can also run it from your phone with the Modern Flames app, or by voice through Alexa or Google Home. In the box you get hand painted Canyon Driftwood logs, clear and smoke acrylic pieces, the finish trim, and the remote. You can add a wall touch control with a thermostat, an invisible mesh screen that replaces the glass so there are no reflections, or TruWood real wood logs. Want fire on more sides? How does the Landscape Pro Slim differ from the Landscape Pro Multi?
The Slim is the single-sided, clean-face version built to sit in a 2 by 6 wall: about 5.5 inches deep with a 14 inch viewing height, a frameless finish trim included, and a 5,000 BTU heater. The Multi is deeper at 11.5 inches, offers corner and bay configurations, and can be wired for 10,000 BTU. Choose the Slim when you want a flush, minimal look on a standard interior wall.
What wall depth do I need to recess it?
The brochure describes it as installed into a 2 by 6 wall, and the manual lists the 56 inch model at 56-1/16 inches wide, 23-3/4 inches high, and 5-3/8 inches deep, so a 6 inch rough opening depth is the target. It can also be wall mounted per the Technical Highlights. For recessed installs the manual recommends 1/2 or 5/8 inch sheetrock, thinner if you are adding a tile facade.
How much heat does it give off, and what circuit does it need?
The heater is rated 1,465 watts, or 5,000 BTU, on 120 volts and draws about 13 amps. The manual calls for a dedicated 20-amp breaker, plugging directly into the outlet with no extension cord or power strip, and hardwiring by a qualified electrician if you prefer a concealed connection. Like all Modern Flames units it is supplemental heat rather than a primary heat source.
Is it approved for outdoor use?
Yes, within the vendor’s rules. The Outdoor Rated Assertion in the Manuals tab lists the LPS models as outdoor rated under UL 2021, and the Outdoor Installation Requirements sheet requires a covered patio away from direct water and sunlight, an overhang and side protection at least half the height measured from the bottom of the fireplace, and a base 2 inches or more above the floor.
What is the invisible non-glare mesh screen option?
It replaces the glass front with a fine mesh so the flame effect reads without reflections. The selector above lists the screen matched to the width you choose. The instructions linked on the page show it sliding in behind the heater deflector, held at the bottom by magnets set in the glass track, and it works with the finish trim installed.
How is it controlled?
You get a remote, hidden manual controls behind the trim, and Wi-Fi control through the Modern Flames app on a 2.4 GHz network, which the brochure notes works with Alexa and Google. The optional Thermostat and Wall Touch Control on the selector adds a wireless wall-mounted panel. The manual’s FAQ puts optimal remote range at about 20 feet and says you can switch on with one control and off with another.
What ships in the box, and can the logs be upgraded?
The Canyon Driftwood log set and two acrylic media types, smoke and clear, come standard, along with the finish trim kit and remote. A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
