Modern Flames Orion Multi: a three sided electric fireplace for flat walls or corners
The Modern Flames Orion Multi is a three sided linear electric fireplace you build into a wall or hang on it. Widths range from 52 to 120 inches. Pick the size on the page. The flame picture is 18 inches tall, with colors you can change. It is low and wide, and Multi means it can go in flat, in a corner, or in a bay, so the fire shows on two or three sides. The fire is a high definition video of real flames on a screen, so it looks the same whether you are standing or sitting.
It needs no gas line and no chimney. Plug it into a wall outlet on its own circuit for 5,000 BTU, enough for a room of about 400 square feet. Have an electrician hardwire it for 10,000 BTU and a room of about 800 square feet. Run the flames with or without heat. It comes with a remote, and you can also run it from your phone with the Modern Flames app. In the box you get Western Driftwood logs, black reflective crushed glass, and the remote. FAQ
Is the Orion Multi a real flame, or is it a screen?
It is what Modern Flames calls a virtual fireplace: the brochure credits Heliovision flame technology, an LCD-based image that keeps the same picture whether you are standing or sitting. Three flame styles in six colors give 18 flame displays, layered over a multi-color ember bed, downlighting, and adjustable crackling sound. The 18 inch viewing height is the tallest linear display in the Orion range.
Which installation layouts are possible?
The brochure lists front view, left corner, right corner, and three-sided bay layouts, installed either as a built-in clean face or wall mounted, where the wall-mount version sits flush with the flames offset only 1-1/2 inches. Framing depth is 9 inches minimum. For a wall-mount build, the Floating Mantel Sets on the selector add the Studio Suite in your finish for the 52, 60, and 76 inch sizes.
How much heat does it produce, and what electrical service is required?
On 120 volts the heater is 1,465 watts for 5,000 BTU; hardwired to 240 volts by a qualified electrician it runs 2,930 watts for 10,000 BTU. The manual requires a dedicated 20-amp breaker, two-pole for the 10,000 BTU wiring, and warns against extension cords and power strips. It is designed as supplemental heat, not a primary heat source.
Can the Orion Multi be used outdoors?
No. The owner’s manual linked on this page states indoor use only and warns that outdoor use may result in electric shock. What is included in the box?
The Western Driftwood log set and reflective black crushed glass both ship with every fireplace; the brochure notes you choose the setup, logs over glass or glass alone. A remote is included, and only the remote takes batteries. The TruWood selector above offers a real-wood kit matched to the width you pick, and the Tall Flame USB Upgrade is a plug-in flash drive that loads taller flames.
Can I run it from my phone or a smart home system?
Yes. Built-in touch controls and the remote are standard, and Wi-Fi pairing through the Modern Flames app on iOS or Android lets you set flame, ember bed, and downlight colors from the full RGB range, use automatic functions, and tie into smart home integration as described on the page. The manual notes pairing must use a 2.4 GHz network.
What are the viewing area and unit dimensions?
The linear display is 18 inches high with a 5 inch deep ember bed, and the unit is about 9 inches deep. Per the brochure the 60 inch model measures 60 inches wide by 24-5/16 inches high by 9-9/16 inches deep, with a framing opening of 59-1/2 by 24-3/4 inches and 9 inches minimum depth; the spec sheets linked above cover every size.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
