Yes. Beyond its 65 in LCD flame display, the Luminex produces up to 10,000 BTU (3 kW) of fan-forced heat — meaningful supplemental warmth for the room it is in, with the flame visuals usable year-round without heat.

How much electricity does the Luminex use?

At its maximum 3 kW heat setting it costs roughly 40–50 cents per hour at average U.S. electric rates. Running the flame display alone uses only a small fraction of that, similar to a large TV.

Does the Luminex need venting or a gas line?

No venting, no chimney, no gas line. It is a fully electric built-in, which is why electric fireplaces like this can be installed in condos, basements, and bedrooms where gas venting is impractical.

How is the Luminex installed?

It is designed to be built into a framed wall: minimum framing is 65.06 in wide x 25.88 in high x 12.50 in deep. Hardwired electrical supply should be planned with your electrician to support the 3 kW heater.

Plan on a dedicated circuit. As a built-in with up to 3 kW of heat output, the Luminex should be wired in by an electrician as part of the installation rather than run from a shared household outlet — though the flame display itself draws very little power.

Report any damage within two business days, including delivery details and photos showing the issue
