Monessen Dynamo: rough barked gas logs that glow from below
The Monessen Dynamo is a vent free gas log set for the fireplace you already have. It comes 18, 24, or 30 inches wide. The hand painted logs have rough bark and form a full stack. The Glow Getter burner adds glowing embers and lights the logs from below. This set needs a slightly wider opening than its siblings, so measure first.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Vent free means it needs no chimney or vent pipe at all, and nearly all the heat stays in the room. Check your local code first, since some areas restrict vent free heaters. It puts out up to 37,000 BTU on propane, or 27,000 on natural gas, and heats up to 1,850 square feet. The price is for the logs. The burner is a required pick on the page, in millivolt or IPI. On the page you pick the size, the fuel, and the burner ignition. Millivolt means it has a standing pilot and needs no electricity, so it keeps working when the power is out. IPI means intermittent pilot ignition: it lights the pilot only when you turn the fire on, so no gas burns while the fire is off. Pick one on the page. Does the Dynamo put out more heat on propane than natural gas?
Yes, and unusually, the gap is large. The 18-inch Dynamo is rated 21,000 BTU per hour on natural gas but 29,000 BTU on propane, while the 24-inch and 30-inch versions rate 27,000 BTU on natural gas and 37,000 BTU on propane. Order the set built for your fuel and plan your warmth around the matching figure.
What does the barked, robust stack bring to a hearth?
Charm and presence. Monessen gives the Dynamo an appealing barked look and a robust stack that fills the firebox visually even before you light it. Hand painting picks out that bark texture log by log, so the set adds style to the hearth rather than just occupying it. It is the rugged personality of the family.
Why does the Dynamo call for a wider fireplace opening?
Its stack simply spreads wider. Minimum front widths are 29 inches for the 18-inch set, 33 inches for the 24-inch, and 36 inches for the 30-inch, a couple of inches beyond what slimmer sets of the same lengths require. Measure across the front of your opening before ordering; the other clearances are modest by comparison.
Do the logs themselves glow, or only the flames?
The logs glow. Fiber blended into the Burncrete Hybrid material takes on light as the fire burns, so the stack looks alive from within instead of being lit only from above. Combined with flames rising through the logs, the effect gives the fire genuine depth, and it holds up even from across the room.
Are ventless log sets like this worth the money?
If you want real warmth without construction, yes. Vent-free gas fireplace logs are an easy, affordable and attractive way to warm a space, and the Dynamo adds hand-painted character on top of serious heat, with nothing asked of your chimney. You are buying a working fire, not just a decoration for the firebox.
Will this set fit a firebox that narrows toward the back?
It is designed with tapered fireboxes in mind. Back width minimums are 22 inches for the 18-inch set and 26 inches for the 24-inch and 30-inch versions, well under the front requirements. If your firebox steps in sharply toward the rear wall, check that back measurement along with the front before you settle on a length.
How does the intermittent pilot option trim gas use?
With IntelliFire Plus, the pilot is intermittent rather than standing, lighting only when the fireplace calls for it, and that is where the fuel savings come from. The system is part of the IPI version of this set; millivolt operation is the alternative for buyers who want the simplest possible controls.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
