DuraVent Model BV FHA Roof Flashing: a wider base for flat to gently sloped roofs
The DuraVent Model BV FHA Roof Flashing is a roof covering that fits around the gas vent pipe where it comes through the roof. Its larger base and 6 inch skirt suit jobs that call for more width than the standard flashing provides. It adjusts to roof pitches from flat to 6 in 12. Model BV is DuraVent’s Type B gas vent, the double wall pipe that carries the exhaust from a gas furnace, boiler, or water heater out of the house. Choose the 3, 4, or 6 inch size to match your vent diameter.
The storm collar is sold separately. This ring sits above the flashing, with a bead of silicone at the collar to seal around the pipe. The vent cap sits at least 1 foot above roofs up to 7 in 12. Steeper roofs call for more height, reaching 4 feet at 12 in 12, and the cap needs to be at least 8 feet from any wall. Need the standard width instead? See the DuraVent Model BV Adjustable Roof Flashing. The DuraVent Model BV FHA Roof Flashing ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.
