DuraVent FasNSeal Male Flex Adapter: connects the liner’s bottom to rigid vent pipe
The DuraVent FasNSeal Male Flex Adapter is the connector between a chimney liner’s bottom and the rigid FasNSeal pipe leading to the appliance. This version has no blue gasket. FasNSeal Flex is DuraVent’s flexible stainless steel liner that carries a high efficiency gas appliance’s exhaust up through an existing masonry chimney. A professional applies high temperature RTV silicone sealant inside the adapter’s channel, not onto the liner. The liner slides in 1 1/2 to 2 inches before the clamp is tightened. The silicone is sold separately and needs 24 hours to cure.
Choose a 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, or 12 inch size. DuraVent strongly advises placing a condensate drain immediately after this adapter, with the liner connection supported at the chimney base. Flex suits a crooked masonry chimney when a side wall exit is unavailable. It bends around changes in direction, while its smooth interior helps exhaust flow and condensed liquid drain. Use it only with FasNSeal parts. Connecting the liner’s top? See the DuraVent FasNSeal Female Flex Adapter top connector. The DuraVent FasNSeal Male Flex Adapter ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.
