Grand Canyon 39 by 13 fire bowl: the smaller concrete bowl with a 30-inch burner
The Grand Canyon Gas Logs 39 by 13 fire bowl is the smaller of the two Grand Canyon bowls, a shallow round dish measuring 39 inches across and 13 inches tall, with a thick rounded rim and a small flat base. It is cast in concrete reinforced with glass fibers, giving it the look of stone at a fraction of the weight. Made in Phoenix, Arizona, it comes in three stock colors and two custom colors that take four to six weeks.
Order it for natural gas or propane. On the page you choose a 30 inch ring burner or a tee-pee burner; the burner, a 33 inch stainless disc, the gas orifice, the install kit, and the feet are included. Plan on about 90 pounds of fire glass or 50 pounds of lava rock to fill it, sold separately. An oak, driftwood, or birch log set, fire glass in seven colors, and a bowl cover are optional. What is the difference between the FB3913-R and FB3913-TP bowls?
Burner style, chosen when you order. The FB3913-R build pairs the bowl with a 30-inch fire ring, while FB3913-TP swaps in a tee-pee style burner instead. Everything else about the bowl stays the same between the two, so the choice comes down to which burner style you want sitting under your media or log set.
Do I need to buy a separate orifice for propane?
No. You pick natural gas or liquid propane when ordering, and the bowl ships with the matching gas orifice – alongside the 33-inch stainless steel disc ring and a small install kit – so the fuel side arrives ready for hookup. Not every outdoor fire feature is offered in both fuels; this bowl is available either way.
Which log sets can be added on top of the burner?
Grand Canyon offers three of its fire pit log styles for its fire bowls: Arizona Weathered Oak, Western Driftwood, and Aspen Birch. None comes bundled, but the Log Set add-on on this page lets any of the three join your bowl order – so you can start with bare media and add cast logs later, or go log-topped from day one.
Does the bowl arrive filled, or is fire media separate?
Media is a separate purchase. The manufacturer specifies 90 pounds of glass or 50 pounds of lava rock to fill this bowl, and both are offered as optional add-ons rather than packed in the crate. Note that the two figures are not the same, so the media you choose changes how much you need to order for the 39-inch basin.
How long do the Bone and Rust finishes take to arrive?
Bone and Rust are custom-made colors with a 4 to 6 week lead time before the bowl ships. If the timeline is tight, three finishes are stocked instead: Charcoal Black, Gray with a black wash, and White with a black wash. All five are the same bowl underneath – the wait buys the color, not a different product.
How much of the bowl is customizable when ordering?
Quite a lot – Grand Canyon describes these GFRC bowls as completely customizable. You make three calls at order time: burner style, gas type, and finish color, and the bowl arrives configured to that combination. Optional add-ons extend it further, so the same cast shell can end up filled with glass or topped with a set of cast logs.
Does a concrete fire bowl sit directly on the ground?
Not this one – feet are included with every bowl, listed right in the included components alongside the burner hardware. The wide, low shell – 39 inches in diameter and 13 inches high – arrives with its own footing rather than resting flat against the patio surface, so there is nothing extra to source before setting this outdoor vented fire feature in place.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. Sizing and heating need to be figured out, as does the building, but we have always had a helpful partner on our side. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
