Harvia Cilindro PC80: an 8 kW stone pillar heater with built in controls for saunas up to 431 cubic feet
The Harvia Cilindro PC80 is an 8 kW round pillar electric sauna heater that stands on the floor, with two built-in knobs at the base for time and temperature, so it needs no separate wall control. It heats saunas from 141 to 431 cubic feet. It goes against a wall or in a corner and shows its stones through the open front half of the casing. It measures 14 inches wide, 13 inches deep, and 40 inches tall and weighs 37.5 pounds empty. The grate holds 200 pounds of stones directly against the heating elements for soft, even heat. Use the ladle to pour water onto the side of the pillar for gentle steam or onto the top for sharper steam.
The box holds the heater and its manual, and it runs on a 240 volt circuit. Sauna stones are sold separately, so add the 5 boxes it needs on the page. What size sauna room is this heater rated for?
This 8kW heater is rated for sauna rooms from 141 to 431 adjusted cubic feet. Those figures are adjusted cubic feet, so check the installation manual linked on this page when working out your room’s effective volume. If your sauna falls outside that range, Harvia offers electric sauna heaters in other outputs to match.
Does the Harvia Cilindro PC80 need a separate control unit?
No. This version of the Cilindro comes with built-in controls, so temperature and time are set right at the heater — there is no separate control unit to buy, mount, or wire in. That makes it a straightforward install for anyone who wants Harvia’s stone-pillar steam without adding a wall-mounted controller to the project.
How many sauna stones does it need, and do they come with it?
The heater requires a minimum of 200 lbs of stones — five boxes. The Includes tab covers the heater and its manual; the stones ship through the Required Stones selection on this page, so choose the five boxes of Harvia split-face stones with your order. Harvia also recommends an extra box, since natural stones vary in shape and size and a spare lets you pick the best-fitting stones.
Can you pour water on an electric sauna heater like this?
Yes — the Cilindro is built for it. Its 200 lbs of stones and grate-like stainless outer shell let each bather adjust the character of the steam: throwing water onto the side of the heater gives a softer steam, while pouring straight onto the top of the stone pillar gives a sharper burst. Follow the water and stone guidance in the installation and operation manual.
What are the electrical requirements?
The specification table lists 240V single-phase power with a nominal draw of 33.4 amps. Hard-wiring a sauna heater should be handled by a licensed electrician following the installation manual on this page and your local electrical codes, which determine the correct circuit, breaker, and wire sizing for the run.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
