SaunaLife E7W: a four person barrel sauna kit with a half moon window in the back
The SaunaLife E7W is a four person outdoor barrel sauna kit with a large half moon window in the back wall, so you get daylight and a view from the bench. It is built from thermo-spruce, which is spruce baked in a kiln so it shrugs off moisture and lasts up to twice as long as cedar. Steel bands hold the barrel tight, and a black shingle roof keeps the rain off. The door is bronze tinted glass. The barrel is about 71 inches long and 81 inches across, with room to stand up inside. A curved bench with a backrest runs along each side. A white LED light bar dims from your phone or a remote.
The kit includes the staves, the benches, the rear window, the glass door, the steel bands, the shingle roof kit, the cradles it sits on, and the LED lights. Two people can build it in about a day. The heater is not included, so pick one of the 4 electric heater packages on the page, from 6 to 7.5 kW, or fit a wood burning stove of your own. The panoramic half-moon window across the back wall bathes the interior in natural light and frames whatever sits behind the sauna, trees, water, or open sky, so the room feels connected to the outdoors. Paired with the included LED light bar, the space stays bright and inviting from morning sessions through evening ones.
Can I heat it with wood instead of electric?
Yes, the page states you can use either an electric heater or a wood-burning stove as the heat source, with a heater guard included to protect bathers. If you go electric, the on-page selector offers Harvia KIP 6kW packages, the Harvia Wall 6kW kit, and a HUUM DROP 7.5kW kit with the UKU Wi-Fi controller, prices shown on the selector.
How many bathers does it hold?
Up to four. The interior measures 63 inches long by 77 inches in diameter, and the curved Thermo-Aspen benches with the premium arched backrest give each person real lumbar support. Knot-free, silky-smooth seating surfaces keep long sessions comfortable for bathers of every size.
How does ventilation work?
Intake and exhaust air vents keep fresh air moving through the room while retaining warmth, and with a wood-burning stove installed they help ensure smoke is carried outdoors. Dual floor drains handle water from steam and cleanup, and the vents dry the interior between sessions so moisture never lingers in the wood.
Is this something I can build myself?
Yes, it is engineered for one-day installation with two people. The kit includes full-length 1.65-inch Thermo-Spruce staves, the half-moon rear window, the tempered bronze glass door, stainless steel bands, spruce cradles and fascia boards, a fastener kit, two extra staves, paraffin oil, and step-by-step instructions covering the whole assembly.
Does the roof need any extra work?
No, the black shingle roof kit installs during assembly for a weather-tight top, with a drip edge that manages rainwater runoff. The shingles also help insulate the barrel and keep warm air inside. There is nothing to add afterward, the roof is finished the day the sauna goes together.
How durable is the wood outdoors?
The Thermo-Spruce staves and Thermo-Aspen interior last up to twice as long as traditional cedar, resist the effects of weather, and hold their shape through heating cycles. Paraffin oil is included for upkeep. You can see the material across the rest of our outdoor sauna collection.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. She was always super responsive and helpful throughout the process. Don't kid yourself, getting a really nice sauna is not that easy. Sizing and heating need to be figured out, as does the building, but we have always had a helpful partner on our side. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
