The SaunaLife E7 is a four person outdoor barrel sauna kit. It is built from thermo-spruce, which is spruce baked in a kiln so it shrugs off moisture and lasts up to twice as long as cedar. Steel bands hold the barrel tight. A black shingle roof keeps the rain off, and a bronze tinted glass door lets daylight in. The barrel is about 71 inches long and 81 inches across, with enough room to stand up inside. A curved bench with a backrest runs along each side.
The kit includes the staves, the benches, the glass door, the steel bands, the shingle roof kit, the cradles it sits on, and the LED lights. The white LED light bar dims from your phone or a remote. Two people can build it in about a day. On the page you can add a rear window or a full glass front. How many people fit in this barrel sauna?
Up to four bathers. The interior runs 63 inches long by 77 inches in diameter, giving roughly six feet five inches of central headroom, with curved Thermo-Aspen benches and a premium arched backrest that supports the lower back for all body sizes. The knot-free seating surfaces stay silky-smooth at bathing temperatures.
Does it take an electric heater or a wood stove?
Either. The page states you can choose between an electric heater and a wood-burning stove as your heat source, and a heater guard is included to shield bathers. For electric, the on-page selector offers Harvia KIP 6kW packages, the Harvia Wall 6kW kit, and a HUUM DROP 7.5kW kit with the UKU controller, with each package’s price shown there.
Can I customize the back wall?
Yes, the Choose Your Style selector on this page offers three configurations: the standard solid back, a rear window, or a glass treatment. Pick the one that suits your view and privacy when ordering, and any price difference for the style you select is displayed right on the selector before you add it to the cart.
Is the interior tall enough for taller bathers?
The barrel gives about six feet five inches of height at the center line, which is where you stand when entering and moving between benches. Seated on either bench, headroom is not a concern at all, and the arched profile actually places the ceiling farther from your head than a flat-roof room of similar size.
How long does the build take?
One day with two people is the engineered target. The kit arrives with full-length 1.65-inch Thermo-Spruce staves, stainless steel barrel bands, the tempered bronze glass door, spruce cradles and fascia boards, a fastener kit, two spare staves, a bottle of paraffin oil, and step-by-step instructions, so everything for a standard assembly is in the crates.
How does it manage water and moisture?
Two floor drains carry away water from inside the room, while intake and exhaust air vents keep air moving and dry the interior between sessions. Outside, the black shingle roof kit and drip edge shed rain before it reaches the staves, and the stainless bands keep the barrel tight through seasonal wood movement.
How long will the wood last?
The Thermo-Spruce exterior and Thermo-Aspen interior are rated to last up to twice as long as traditional cedar, with superior thermal resistance and a chemical-free finish. A bottle of paraffin oil is included for upkeep. It is part of our traditional sauna collection built for year-round outdoor use.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. She was always super responsive and helpful throughout the process. Don't kid yourself, getting a really nice sauna is not that easy. Sizing and heating need to be figured out, as does the building, but we have always had a helpful partner on our side. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
