Uxmal Fire Pillar in Powder Coat: a square steel bowl on an hourglass base
The Outdoor Plus Uxmal fire pillar is a 30-inch gas feature with a square, inverted-pyramid bowl on a flared hourglass base, raising flames to low-wall height. Handmade in the USA, its heavy steel has a baked-on powder coat in 15 colors.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Light it with a match, or add electronic ignition and start it with a button. The burner, pan, hose, fittings, and lava rock are included; a key valve, cover, stainless lid, bullet burner upgrade, fire glass, and burner ornaments are optional. Want a finish that never needs paint? See the Uxmal in Corten steel. The Uxmal fire pillar ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What colors does the powder-coated Uxmal come in?
Powder-coated steel gives this Uxmal the color-matched treatment — a baked-on, UV-stable finish over the same vertical column format. It is the pillar to choose when the fire feature must obey a designed palette rather than weather into one, and the coating holds its shade for years with a rinse.
What arrives in the crate?
The complete flame package: fire pan and plate, burner, mounting bracket, whistle-free hose, lava rock, and the orifice for Liquid Propane or Natural Gas as ordered. The powder-coated Uxmal needs only its gas connection — professional hands for that — before first light.
Which ignition systems does the Uxmal pillar come in?
Match Lit or Low Voltage Electronic (CSA certified). The manual Uxmal needs no power at all; the electronic build brings the column onto a switch, which matters when pillars stand in rows and you want the whole line alight in one motion.
How much space does a pillar need around it?
Less floor than a fire pit — the Uxmal footprint is compact — but more sky. Keep generous clearance overhead and from anything combustible at flame height, allow comfortable walking room beside paths and pool edges, and follow the spec sheet numbers over any rule of thumb.
Is lighting it awkward?
Not at all. Match Lit: valve open a touch, long lighter to the burner at the crown, lit. Electronic: press the switch. The Uxmal burner sits at the top of the column but well within reach — and the electronic version removes even that stretch.
How quickly does it shut down?
Instantly at the valve — flame out, done, no aftermath. A powder-coated Uxmal cools fast, and there is never ash or ember to think about. For switch-wired columns, the end of the evening is literally flipping the lights off, fire included. Similar convenience runs through our gas fire pit range.
Can the powder coated Uxmal pillar stand on a rug?
No — give the Uxmal hard surface. Even with the flame riding high, the column base concentrates weight and warmth in a small area, and rugs underneath trap both. Stone, pavers, or concrete below; textiles belong with the seating, not under the pillar.
