Linear Western Driftwood logs: a straight run of driftwood for fireplaces 24 to 120 inches wide
The Grand Canyon Gas Logs Linear Western Driftwood log set arranges slender, sun-bleached driftwood logs in a low, continuous line for a long linear fireplace or fire pit, indoors or out, in widths from 24 to 120 inches. Cast from real driftwood found along the Colorado River, the logs are made of ceramic fiber and high temperature concrete with stainless steel mesh inside. Each is painted by hand in pale gray and white, with peeled bark, split ends, and branch-like tapers.

On the page you choose the width, an indoor glass burner or an outdoor stainless one, and the control, from a safety pilot you light by hand to an electronic ignition system. Can a rustic driftwood look work in a modern linear fireplace?
That pairing is the whole idea here. The set keeps the weathered, sun-bleached driftwood character but formats it for long, low installations, so a contemporary firebox gains organic texture instead of going cold and geometric. Grand Canyon files it with its contemporary gas logs for exactly that reason – rustic material, modern format.
Can I get gas logs for a 10-foot linear fireplace?
Yes. The Linear Western Driftwood is offered in eight lengths – 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, and 120 inches – each under its own WD-LINEAR SKU, and the 120-inch set covers a full 10-foot installation. The design language holds across the entire run, so an oversized project keeps the same look as a modest one instead of switching styles at the top end.
Is this set rated for indoor fireplaces or outdoor installations?
Both, provided the installation is vented. The spec sheet lists indoor and outdoor vented use, so the same casting can serve a living room fireplace or an open-air feature. Venue does change the paperwork side: coverage runs lifetime for indoor installations and 5 years outdoors. What never changes is the venting requirement – this is a vented set in either setting.
How weathered are these logs meant to look?
Heavily – the inspiration was timber shaped by scorching summers and cool, wet winters. The casting picks up a washed-out exterior with deep, crackling, splitting bark and subterranean earth tones, and each piece is individually cast and hand painted so that detail survives at close range. The result reads as genuinely weathered wood, not a smoothed-over log shape.
Can these logs pair with a Glass Burner system?
Yes – Glass H and T Burner compatibility is called out in the set’s own key features, and the resources tab carries the Glass Burner line’s installation and operation manuals so the pairing can be planned properly. The set is not locked to that platform either: the spec sheet also lists Ring, H, and T burners plus all drop-in outdoor pan burners.
What actually makes a log set linear?
The format. Instead of a pyramid of crossed logs proportioned for a squarish firebox, these pieces are shaped to run long and low, following the line of an elongated burner. That is why the size chart reads in lengths rather than widths, and why the set suits front view and see-through arrangements, where a stretched horizontal fire is the entire point.
Where did the Log Hunters find the wood behind this set?
Along the sun-baked banks of the Colorado River, inside the Grand Canyon itself. The brand describes the expedition directly: its team of Log Hunters searched the river banks mile by mile, and the chosen driftwood was backpacked out log by log. Those found pieces became the castings for this set, which is why the weathering looks collected from a real landscape rather than invented.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
