Arizona Weathered Oak Jumbo Series (See-Through) Vented Gas Logs
Forty years ago, a young boy was hiking through the Red Vermilion Cliffs on the Arizona-Utah border when him and his family came across a scrub oak that had been struck down by Mother Nature. The sheer awe and beauty of this lighting struck oak would leave a lifelong impression on the young boy’s mind. In October of 2011, the same scrub oak was rediscovered laying in the same spot that it had been 40 years earlier – only more beautiful than ever. The boy, now a man with a family of his own, backpacked the logs of the fallen oak out of the canyon to be casted, painted, and enjoyed in your home today.

All logs are built with a high temperature concrete, ceramic refractory, and stainless steel fiber mesh. Logs installed indoors carry a lifetime warranty and logs that are installed outside carry a 5-year warranty.

Why is this the odd one out among the see-through sets?
Every other see-through set in the catalog mounts on the 2 or 3 burner see-through systems. This series runs on its own platform, the Jumbo See-Through burner, because its scale is different: the run starts at 24 inches and climbs to a 120-inch set. Ordering reflects that – each width is paired with a burner built for that exact size.
Do gas log sets come bigger than 60 inches?
Here they do. Past the 60-inch mark this see-through series continues through 72, 84, and 120 inch sets – territory where very little else in gas logs exists. Each of those widths is a true cast log set with the same styling as the smaller sizes, not a stretched arrangement, and natural gas and liquid propane versions are offered across the run.
Who actually needs a log set measured in feet rather than inches?
Architectural projects. Grand Canyon engineered this series for large-scale see-through installations – the custom masonry fireplaces that anchor great rooms and lodges, where a standard 36-inch fire would simply disappear. If a mason built your firebox to be the centerpiece of the whole floor plan, this is the series sized to fill it rather than rattle around inside it.
Which wood is behind the Jumbo see-through series?
Arizona Weathered Oak, the brand’s signature species, cast from a genuine lightning-struck scrub oak. The series carries that casting heritage into large-format work: every set is individually cast and hand painted like the rest of the line, so even a ten-foot installation shows real bark character rather than repeated generic shapes. The look matches the smaller weathered oak collections, scaled for far bigger burners.
How many sizes does this series span?
Nine, the widest spread among Grand Canyon’s vented gas logs: 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 60, 72, 84, and 120 inches, each under its own SKU. The specification tab and the order form agree on the full run, so every listed width is a real, orderable set – from ordinary fireplace territory up to a full ten feet.
Does the burner platform come in more than one build?
Yes. For every size, the order form lists the Jumbo See-Through burner in a standard version and an SS stainless steel version, selected while you configure the set, with a matching controls choice alongside. Since the series itself is rated for indoor or outdoor vented see-through installations, confirm with your installer which build suits the site and lock it in at order time.
Why does a jumbo line start at 24 inches?
Because the name describes the burner platform, not a minimum size. The run opens at a conventional 24 inches and keeps identical styling and construction through all nine widths, so a modest opening can sit on the same platform as a ten-foot showpiece. Think of the series name as telling you which burner family you are buying into, not how big you are required to go.
