Monessen Artisan: a wide gas fire with colored lights under the glass
The Monessen Artisan is a linear vent free gas fireplace built into the wall. Linear means the opening is low and wide, like a letterbox. It comes 42, 48, or 60 inches wide. Pick the size on the page. The window is 17 inches tall. Flames rise through a bed of fire glass. Black reflective glass panels inside repeat the flames. Colored lights under the glass glow even when the fire is off.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Vent free means it needs no chimney or vent pipe at all, and nearly all the heat stays in the room. Check your local code first, since some areas restrict vent free fireplaces. IntelliFire Touch ignition lights it with a button. It puts out from 34,000 to 40,000 BTU across the sizes, enough for a large room. On the page you pick the size, fuel, glass color, and control. Which sizes and heat outputs does the Artisan lineup offer?
The Artisan is a vent-free linear fireplace offered in 42, 48, and 60 inch widths. The 42 delivers up to 34,000 BTUs on natural gas or 33,000 on propane, the 48 reaches 39,000 and 38,000, and the 60 tops out at 40,000 and 39,000. Every size keeps the same 17-inch-tall viewing height.
What is the heat-reduced option on the 42-inch model?
Monessen offers the single-sided 42-inch model in a heat-reduced version rated at 24,500 BTUs on natural gas and 24,000 on propane, down from the standard 34,000 and 33,000. It is the same fireplace with a lower input, a useful option when you want the full 42 by 17 inch flame view without the full heat.
How does the flame display get its sense of depth?
Flames rise through a firebed of shimmering Diamond fireglass, and reflective black glass panels surrounding the firebox multiply the flame appearance, so a single ribbon of fire looks layered and deep. The glass bed sparkles beneath the flames while the panels repeat them, which is what gives this fireplace its sense of movement and depth.
What does the multicolored LED hearth lighting add to the Artisan?
The LED hearth lighting washes the firebed in multicolored light and does not depend on the burner being lit, so the Artisan stays a showpiece even when it is not burning. On warm evenings you can leave the flames off and still have a glowing, colorful focal point, then run lighting and fire together when you want the full display.
How efficient is the Artisan at keeping heat in the room?
The Artisan is a vent-free design rated at 99.9-percent efficiency. With no chimney, flue, or vent run, essentially none of the heat your gas produces is carried outdoors; it stays in the room where you are sitting. That holds across the lineup, from the 34,000 BTU 42-inch model up to the 40,000 BTU 60-inch model on natural gas.
What framing does the wall opening need for each size?
All three sizes frame to the same 39-3/4 inch height, with framing depth between 13-1/8 and 13-3/8 inches depending on the model. Framing width is 46-5/8 inches for the 42, 52-5/8 inches for the 48, and 64-1/8 inches for the 60. The shallow depth means the fireplace tucks into a framed chase without claiming much floor space.
What does it take to put a vent-free fireplace into a wall?
Less than you might expect. With no chimney or venting required, installation is fast, easy, and affordable: frame the opening to spec, set the unit, and connect gas. Ignition comes ready to go through the IntelliFire Touch Ignition System with its standard touchscreen remote, and there are no flue chases, roof penetrations, or masonry projects anywhere in the job.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
