What are the color and ignition choices?
Seven powder coats: Black, Copper Vein, Java, Pewter, Silver Vein, Smooth Gray, and White, paired with Match Lit or Low Voltage Electronic Ignition (CSA Certified). Darker coats maximize the contrast when firelight comes through the Miami artwork, which is the whole show with this fire bowl.
How much heat should I expect from it?
Plenty for its footprint: gas burners in the Miami Edition’s class run at grill-strength output, warming a seating group arranged around the bowl. Steel radiates promptly and cools quickly after shutdown. Ask us for the burner rating on your chosen size if you are heat-planning a space.
Should I fill it with fire glass or lava rock?
Lava rock comes included and suits the bowl fine, but many Miami Edition owners upgrade to fire glass, whose sparkle plays beautifully with the light spilling through the cut scene. Either is safe on a gas burner; just lay an even bed and avoid non-rated substitutes.
Is a covered lanai an acceptable spot?
Only if your local code and installer approve it, with real ceiling height and cross-ventilation. Gas flames under roofs are restricted in many areas, and the Miami bowl deserves open sky anyway, where its projected light show is unobstructed. Ask us before planning a covered installation.
How does the Miami Edition handle rain?
Powder-coated steel takes wet weather in stride, so an afternoon storm is no emergency. Let the pan drain, allow the media to dry before the next light-up, and cover the bowl through extended rainy periods so the ignition system and cut detailing stay in top shape.

What’s Included in Your Bowl
Every fire bowl ships as a complete kit — bowl, burner, fire pan, lava rock and plumbing. The only choice you need to make is how you want to light it.
Match Lit / Manual Ignition
The classic setup: open the key valve and light the burner by hand. Nothing electric to wire or maintain — the simplest and most affordable way to run a fire bowl.

Natural Gas
NG bowls come with a brass orifice mounted directly under the burner. Plan the gas run so the key valve sits within arm’s reach of the bowl.
Liquid Propane
LP bowls use a brass air-mixer orifice that blends air into the propane for a cleaner-burning flame — no soot staining the bowl or the deck around it.
Lava Rock, Not Glass, for LP
Skip fire glass on propane bowls. Propane is heavier than air and can pool under dense glass media — lava rock lets it breathe. On natural gas, glass is fair game.
Mounting & Ventilation
Bowls ship with a ventilating mounting bracket that anchors the bowl and lets the enclosure breathe. Install it properly — it’s required to keep the warranty valid.
