Monessen Artisan See-Through: one fire for two rooms
The Monessen Artisan See-Through is a linear vent free gas fireplace built into a shared wall. See-through means it sits inside a wall between two rooms, and both rooms see the same fire. Linear means the opening is low and wide, like a letterbox. It comes 48 inches wide, with a 48 by 17 inch opening on each side. Flames rise over fire glass with LED lighting. With the optional stainless steel outdoor kit protecting the outside face, one side can face the patio instead.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Vent free means it needs no chimney or vent pipe at all, and nearly all the heat stays in the room. Check your local code first, since some areas restrict vent free fireplaces. IntelliFire Touch ignition lights it with a button. It puts out up to 39,000 BTU for warmth in both rooms. Can the Artisan See-Through be installed in an exterior wall?
Yes. It mounts in an interior wall to connect two rooms, or in an exterior wall that extends your living space to the outdoors, with a stainless steel outdoor kit liner offered as an accessory for the outside-facing side. That indoor-to-outdoor reach is a genuine standout among multi-sided fireplaces.
How much glass does each side show?
Each face carries a 48 by 17 inch viewing area, which works out to 816 square inches per side. Both spaces get the full-width linear fire, dressed with shimmering fireglass and framed by black reflective glass panels, so neither room feels like it got the back of the unit.
What is the BTU rating on the double-sided model?
It is rated at 39,000 BTU per hour on natural gas and 38,000 on propane. Because the Artisan See-Through runs vent-free, that warmth is delivered at 99.9 percent efficiency, staying in your living spaces rather than escaping through a flue system.
What rough framing does the 48-inch model need?
Plan a framed opening 52-5/8 inches wide and 39-3/4 inches tall, with a framing depth of 13-1/8 inches. Since both faces of the fireplace are finished sides, lay out the wall so each room gets the clearances and finish treatment the installation manual specifies.
What ignition and remote come with the Artisan See-Through?
It runs the IntelliFire Touch Ignition System, and a touchscreen remote is standard equipment rather than an upgrade. The remote is multifunction, so everyday operation, from lighting the fire to managing comfort, happens from wherever you happen to be sitting, on either side of the wall.
Which sizes does the see-through version come in?
One: the 48, sold in natural gas (AVFLST48NIF) and propane (AVFLST48PIF) versions. The broader Artisan family covers single-sided linear fireplaces in additional sizes, but the 48 is the model engineered for two-sided viewing, so there is no size decision to agonize over here.
Will the fire still look good from an angle?
That is central to the design. Clean contemporary lines, elegant lighting, and the flames themselves are meant to elevate the fireside experience from any angle, not just straight on. LED firebed lighting and shimmering fireglass keep the display bright across the full width, whichever direction you approach it from.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
