The Grand Canyon Gas Logs Arizona Weathered Oak Charred see-through log set is made for a fireplace open on two sides, so the logs look finished from either room. Choose from 18, 24, 30, 36, or 42 inch sizes. Grand Canyon notches and burns scrub oak logs, then casts them to capture the scorched fronts. The rough gray-brown bark has blackened patches and pale sawn ends, with two long base logs beneath an arch of crossed branches. Each log is made from ceramic fiber and high temperature concrete with stainless steel mesh inside. They are painted by hand in Phoenix, Arizona, and carry a lifetime warranty indoors and a five-year warranty outdoors.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Is the burned look painted on, or built into the castings?
Built in. The scorched fronts were captured when genuinely burned logs were cast, which makes the charred texture part of the mold itself – the recesses and darkened splits are physically there in the concrete. Painting then completes the illusion, but the char can never rub off or wear away, because beneath the color the burn is a matter of shape, not finish.
What does this product page have me decide before checkout?

How pronounced is the charred styling?
Pronounced. The faces carry heavy scorching and darkened centers rather than a light gray dusting, and the hand-painting leans into the effect, finishing each casting to look as though it burned in your own hearth. If you want only a whisper of age, the standard weathered oak sets are the calmer route – this collection commits fully to the burned-in look.
Is this the same product as the charred GlowFire set?
No – they share a finish, not a platform. The GlowFire charred set is an indoor-only system built around its own burner technology and sold under GFWOC SKUs. This page is the vented see-through version, sold under AWOCST SKUs, which mounts on 2 and 3 burner see-through systems and is approved for indoor or outdoor vented fireplaces. For a firebox open on both sides, this is the charred option.
What does AWOCST mean in the Grand Canyon lineup?
It is shorthand for Arizona Weathered Oak Charred, See-Through: the species, the finish, and the format in one code. Full SKUs append the width, so AWOCST30LOGS is the 30-inch charred see-through set. The code matters when comparing the brand’s similarly named collections, because a couple of letters separate a front-view product from a double-sided one.
Can the charred styling extend beyond the main logs?
Yes. The order form offers an AZ Weathered Oak Charred Twig Set – smaller cast pieces wearing the same burned finish as the logs – so the display can carry the effect past the primary stack. It is an optional line item selected during configuration on this page, useful whenever you want the finished fire to look a little fuller.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
