The Outdoor Plus Berkeley outdoor fireplace is a Ready to Finish see-through gas fireplace, a long, low rectangle open on both sides so two seating areas share one flame. It comes in 84, 96, 108, and 120 inch lengths and is built in the USA on a steel frame wrapped in fiber cement board, ready for the stone, tile, or stucco you choose.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Light it with a match, or add electronic ignition and start it with a button. Why would anyone want a fireplace that arrives unfinished?
Because the hard part is already done. The Berkeley shows up as a professional-grade structural base with the frame, burner, and safety hardware in place, so you skip the cost and complexity of traditional masonry and simply apply the surface that matches your space. That is how ready-to-finish outdoor fireplaces give a patio a custom look without a mason’s timeline.
What is hiding under the fiber cement board shell?
A heavy-duty steel tubing frame, individually handcrafted in the USA. The board wrapped around that skeleton is weather-resistant and mold-resistant fiber cement, forming a solid structure 48 inches tall and 31 inches deep. Together they give you a base built to stand up to the outdoors long before the first finish material ever goes on.
Can you stucco over fiber cement board?
Yes. Stucco is one of the approved finishes for this shell, right alongside stone, tile, and veneer, and the only rule is that the material must be non-combustible. That freedom is the point: the same Berkeley base can read Mediterranean in stucco, rustic in stacked stone, or sleek in large-format tile, depending on the patio around it.
Can a see-through fire wall really stretch ten feet?
It can. The run goes 84, 96, 108, and 120 inches, and the longest of those is a full ten feet of linear flame visible from either side. Every length keeps the same 48-inch height and 31-inch depth, so scaling up adds presence without changing the footprint’s depth. Measure the sight line you want to command and pick the length that owns it.
Does the far side of the flame get shortchanged?
No side is the back. The see-through design shows the fire from both faces, so a dining table on one side and a lounge on the other each get the full flame view. That is what lets this unit work as an elegant architectural divide between outdoor rooms instead of a wall you only decorate on one face.
What do whistle-free hoses actually prevent?
Exactly what the name promises: the irritating whistle a gas line can make as fuel moves through it. They arrive along with the 304 stainless steel linear burner, the drop-in pan, and a stainless steel air vent for safety and ventilation, so the flame hardware is sorted before your finish crew ever mixes a batch of mortar.
Can the Berkeley's fire be fully automated?
Very much so. Five ignition options span the range: manual match-lit at the simple end, match-lit with flame sense, flame sense with spark, plug-and-play ready, and a CSA-certified low-voltage electronic system at the fully automated end. Order the unit for natural gas or liquid propane and choose whichever control level your project calls for.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
