Who makes American Outdoor Grill?

AOG is a division of RH Peterson Co., with products built in City of Industry, California, by the same family company that makes Fire Magic. The company has made fire products for more than 75 years and refreshed the design in 2026 with eight panel colors. These grills have a heavy stainless steel build, tube burners and diamond shaped stainless steel grates, with panels underneath that spread even heat. The simpler line shares its factory and grates with Fire Magic, which uses heavier cast burners and offers more sizes and options. The grill listings give the maker’s warranty as lifetime coverage for the body and burners, 15 years for grates and 10 years for valves.

T-Series or L-Series?

The T-Series is the simpler grill, with no lights, back burner or rotisserie. Its knob makes the ignition spark, so there is no battery and nothing to plug in. It suits an island without power and a cook who wants fewer parts to look after.

The L-Series adds interior halogen lights and a color changing light bar with a remote. An infrared back burner runs the included rotisserie for a chicken or roast. Plan for an outdoor outlet for the lights and motor, and compare other grills with infrared burners if that feature matters to you.

Choose an AOG built-in grill in either series. The 24 inch grill has two burners and about 430 square inches of cooking space. The 30 inch has three burners over about 540 square inches, while the 36 inch has three over about 650. For each size, both series share the cooking space, burners, grates (also called cooking grids), hood and warranty.

Our built-in grills page covers other island choices, while gas grills brings gas models together. Choose your fuel on the product page. You can also browse natural gas grills or propane grills across brands.

Built into an island or on a cart

Each grill head fits an island cutout and has no legs. An AOG grill cart base is its own listing, matched to the 24, 30 or 36 inch head in either series. It adds locking wheels, folding shelves and storage with a propane tank ring, turning the head into a freestanding grill. The 24 inch head also fits a patio post base, alongside the options on our pedestal and post-mount gas grills page.

Doors, drawers and side burners

The AOG doors and drawers match the grills’ steel and fit any island with the right cutout. Choose single or double access doors, a tank tray door, drawers, or a door and drawer or pantry combo. Check each page’s cutout dimensions, and compare our outdoor kitchen doors and outdoor kitchen drawers for other storage layouts.

An AOG side burner drops into the countertop beside the grill. Both series have two brass burners for pots and skillets, with natural gas or propane chosen on the page. The T-Series needs no outlet, while the L-Series light bar plugs in. Our side burners collection includes choices from other brands.

AOG and the rest of the store

Browse the BBQ Grills hub to compare every fuel and brand on the store. Our Outdoor Kitchen hub brings appliances, storage and islands together. Use those pages to plan beyond the grill, including where you want counter space and access below it.
